Boombro
But it is a legit problem. Not to you maybe, but for someone else, it is.That reads like a sideways plea for regulating free speech. Case law has already determined that actionable real life threats are not the same as on-line threats. Threatening someone on-line doesn't legally constitute a reasonable expectation that the threat can be acted upon. Citation: Elonis v. United StatesThat is the SCOTUS interpretation of 18 U.S. Code § 875 - Interstate communications Chief Justice John Roberts’s opinion for the majority: “Federal criminal liability generally does not turn solely on the results of an act without considering the defendant’s mental state.” ACLU legal director Steven R. Shapiro’s opinion: “Today’s decision properly recognizes that the law has for centuries required the government to prove criminal intent before putting someone in jail. That principle is especially important when a prosecution is based on a defendant’s words. The Internet does not change this long-standing rule. While today’s decision insists on fairness, it is not a license to threaten, which remains illegal when properly proved.” Synopsis: On-line threats aren't a crime unless you mean it. This means no matter how abusive, violent, or reprehensible, being a horrible person isn’t a crime. That's why feminists can start #killallmen and rant like lunatics on twitter and tumblr. That's why fundamentalists can protest outside of abortion clinics. If it doesn't violate the 1st Amendment conditions for free speech then it's not a crime. Being internet butt-hurt because people say means things isn't just cause to prevent them from saying it. Oh yeah, FO4 CK blah-blah-blah. If monetized modding returns people will be free to participate and others will be free to attack them for doing it. It's the law of the jungle. But this is a UK site, and I'm Aisan, so I really don't care about US laws.
WursWaldo
But this is a UK site, and I'm Aisan, so I really don't care about US laws. And as a sovereign U.S. citizen I don't care about U.K. law unless I set foot in their territory. And where is 'Aisa'? Regardless, the pantheon of internet gods have decried they won't act on pleas to regulate free speech. It doesn't matter where on the planet you live; European style 'hate speech' laws don't apply. This is a good thing.

I saw a guy from Colorado got banned from the Nexus for talking about marijuana in the chat room, because marijuana is illegal in the UK, even though it isn't in Colorado. He argued it and they banned him. Maybe the law doesn't apply, but that won't keep you from being banned. But if people used rude wording here, they get banned since it a UK site.
WursWaldo
Nope, not required to care as long as I follow the rules. And the off topic derail discussion had nothing to do with Nexus rules. Dark0ne can dictate the rules on his forum, he can't dictate to the rest of the internet. The Nexus tos only applies here. And stating that I don't have to follow U.K. laws doesn't break any U.K. laws. You're making a non-point.If someone here were to make a reddit style death threat they would be banned for sure and the staff might contact the appropriate authorities. If the person making the threat lived in the U.S. that would be the end of it since we don't have an Orwellian style government yet. Anyway, I'm not in the mood to juggle with SJW logical fallacies. Carry on with out me.

Boombro
Do Bethesda games really have more mods than all other games combined? Even without checking, I can confirm so. Of course, that is up to the beth game itself.
TeamBacon
Do Bethesda games really have more mods than all other games combined? That comes down to what is your definition of a mod? Do you count a massive Skyrim quest mod equally with someone who re-colored a shirt in the Sims? This is too broad of a statement to really have an answer. Boombro
Recolor texture mods are still mods. Anything that counts modification counts.
