Do You Think the Delayed Creation Kit Will Have a Long Term Negative Effect on Modding?

I've been reading threads on the Bethesda.net 'community' forums. I don't know if the delay caused any long term damage but right now the FO4 community seems really splintered; there and elsewhere. At Bethesda.net there is lots of name calling and hostility; mostly having to do with the game and CK EULAs, who really owns the content (modders or Bethesda), paid modding and all the other conflicts seen in this thread. Even worse the staff there is lacking in moderator skills and that isn't making the situation any better.

I think the cause of the conflicts happening now was the CK being delayed for so long. People didn't have solid answers so they filled in the blanks with speculation and rumors and those took on a life of their own. FO4 is the worst Bethesda titled I've played and it isn't worth what is happening and pathetic things people are saying to one another.

Honestly, if I had to make a plan to piss off as many users as possible it'd be hard to beat beth at this point.

Kit being delayed because of consoles (Really, if you think beth.net mod loading is bad now, I shudder to think what it was like months ago).

Automatron - Great customization options, but insanely weak story.

Workshop dlc - No story elements, terrible arena system. Hell, if I had to pick the laziest way to implement a trap system, what they came up with would be about it. (Minus the whole opening the cage animation, that I will admit is neat)

Survival mode - Screw with peoples save system in a beth game? Yeah, whomever thought that was a good idea needs to up his/her meds.

This thread just goes to show the real problem, the "community" instigators that want to blame the development time for a tool or the upfront plan from the get go about including consoles in the modding scene for problems with a game a year ago we did not even know existed.

The people who go around forming these half assed accusations and fear mongering statements going unchallenged is what the problem is. They need to be corrected.

Agreed.

This line of thinking is way outta control and Im appalled that its allowed to go on here by people that do nothing for our community and have offered no mods for our use that are of any valid note worthy use and sure as heck are not even remotely cool or popular.

Doubt a single one of them has had a mod that made it to the top 5 window.

See a lot of guys on here claiming they got credentials but they sink way too much time into reviewing an old game when real people would be on the game that's out on the horizon and not dwelling in the past.

So basically why are they even here?

Cause they sure as heck are not here to make mods.

In fact their behavior only serves to further kill interest in the game which is really going to hurt Nexus more than help it.

So people should be "corrected" for speaking their minds and voicing their concerns? They aren't breaking any rules or violating any laws yet the implication is they should somehow be punished. Sure, why not?

If you are of the opinion that 2+2 is 8, yes you should be corrected.

and peoples like them are one of the risen game design is so bad nowadays. they will gave out there cash no mater hoe badly something is made and think moders would fix everything there to lazily done and textures. mods cant fix the horrid no RPG element of the game and the lack of the points and perk page. cant help the very poorly voiced actors. (i dont mean voiced overs i mean the already placed voiced dialog.

after playing 600 hrs of this game i never did beat or nor ever got past killing kellogg. i never cared for a forced baby. maybe if i felt attached to it (like they did in Mass Effect to your officers/ followers ect) but the less then 30 sec time frame was to slim i think..

to answer the threads question i think ALOT of ppl already moved ( even modders thats why we see some of the best mods not being worked on anymore. (ie. SK and a few others) on from fallout 4 to the point they probable never even gotten close to beating it because of how badly written Plot/ no quest. (i dont count same run and gun as side quest) it was and how badly to runs on a PC. alot of "REAL FALLOUT FANS" dont like this game. beth fan boys dont care or able to see 1 way or another.

From what I've seen, the delay in the release of the creation kit was due to them trying to pimp out their site, Bethesda net, but also, had modders been given the tools, no one would have bought wasteland workshop. Modders like DDproductions have already shown that they can create far better content....and not break your game or saves at the same time. Their site is god awful for giving out mods. It can be abused, mods can be stolen from the nexus without any punishment on bethesda net, false flagging of mods on bethesda net occurs quite often, and can be abused. Bethesda dropped the ball big time. But since the creation kit is out, at least in alpha now, its time to quit complaining, and do something. If you've got some spare time, go try to be creative. Learn to use the proper tools, and see how it goes. If you want to make the modding community stronger, go out and try to be part of the effort.
