ub3rman123
Hammonds summed up my thoughts. Dang. I'll use it for new files I upload when I don't have a ton to upload at a time, but it's cumbersome to fill in piles of old data.
LHammonds
Summed? I thought I was rather detailed. LOL
Zaldir
If that was summing up your thoughts, I don't think anyone would bother to read your thoughts! :P Lon, those were some very good ideas, that I support as well! :) Edited June 20, 2011 by Zaldiir
jaime74
I forgot to mention that I also strongly support the idea of having a date field together with the version!I have the impression that this suggestion (wasn't it from Vorians once again ;)) hasn't been paid much attention yet, so I'd like to affirm that I consider it very important. Very often, when I check mod pages for updates that I haven't visited for a long time, I don't know exactly which version I have currently installed. It's always very nice to see at one glance when the last version was uploaded. That keeps me from having to scan my data or docs folder (or opening Wrye Bash, OBMM or whatever). It may be just a "convenience" feature, but I suppose that it could be implemented without too big efforts or changes to the data model. So if there is any chance to get this, I'd be very happy!
Vorians
I believe I merely did as you are now jaime74, and voiced my favour for the addition of a date field after someone previously suggested it. EDITAnd "yay!" for getting the order of the changelogs to match the order they're submitted! Thanks Dark0ne, now the Villages changelog looks very nice and tidy, correctly ordered as it used to be when it was in the Description box. lolcliff
If I had a nickel for everytime I've been trying to find what a mod actually does...lol
ChronicKillerInstinct
I agree whole heartedly. I've probably passed up so many great mods because there is a loads of changelog info at the top of the page. What's the point in telling what you changed since your last version if I don't know what the mod even does!?
jaime74
I've added a changelog to my mod, in it seems to work "nearly" fine now. But clicking the change log for any file from the latest version (2.6a) doesn't work (the popup window just doesn't show up), while it works for any other versioned file. Can anybody confirm this by trying himself here (e.g. just check v2.6 and v2.6a in comparison)? It would be nice to know whether this is a general problem or related related to- my browser settings?- the version number itself (I admit that "2.6a" is not a common format)? Thanks a lot! P.S.: I am still looking forward to having a date field in the future :whistling: ;)

jaime74
Can't just anybody spend 30 seconds to check if he can reproduce/confirm my issue described above? All you need to do is click the change log links here (try v2.6a and one of the older versions in comparison). Thanks a lot!
