urbex
How do you guys celebrate the fourth? I usually just drive down to the indian reservation to buy my fireworks, it's only about an hour away. Fun times are had when M80s are attached to over-sized bottle rockets. And by fun times I mean forest fires.

Some people just shouldn't use fireworks period, do your research first. Edited June 27, 2011 by Thor.

Vindekarr
Happy fourth guys, well, we Aussies used to have our own version, Guy Fawx Night, when everyone lit a bonfire and then spent the night throwing various incendiary products onto it, but we went through a period of hyperconservatism, and now it's banned, fireworks are banned, and Gillard wants to impose a ban on public laughing. Ban is important too, last night some youths had a horrible accident with a set of capgun caps, accidently dropping a lit match on them and causing a truly dreadful and utterly accidental chain reaction that surely had nothing to do with their sudden good cheer. No doubt they went straight home in terror, and the second explosion was just my imagination, how could anyone concieve of the idea that people might actualy ENJOY fireworks? Wouldn't wan't people to have fun now would we? Edited June 27, 2011 by Vindekarr

iansutton91
I live 20 minutes away from Bama's "Largest Firework Warehouse." Unfortunately, we moved away from our farm to the suburbs...now all you;re allowed to light off is just some sparklers and those things you throw at peoples feet. But mainly what we'll be doing is celebrating the baptism of my newly born nephew. Lot of extended family are coming down.
antonkr
FunnyThe biggest holiday in Russia would be New Year. And fireworks are non-stop.Unfortunatly most of the people with the fireworks are stupid teenagers, and in the news there is a count on how many died because of them. Me and my granddad although had set off our fireworks a couple of times too. It was quite spectacular.
Illiad86
Seems like any day is a good reason to launch off fireworks in Wisconsin lol someone was shooting them off on Father's Day :P You can get pretty much any fireworks you want here as long as you have a "permit"...which is give the fireworks salesman $20 and he gives you a piece of paper to launch off anything you want :P We normally go up north to my boyfriend's aunt's cabin. She has a lot of land up there and we go fishing, 4 wheeling, tubing, BBQ. At night, we have a few brews and start a huge bonfire :D They do the fireworks up there on the 3rd, so we go see those and come back down to our city on the 4th and see ours :) Always fun stuff. Last year we brought up the telescope, the sky is a lot darker up there. Looks like the sky might be clear again this year too :D
HeyYou
In michigan, class c fireworks are illegal. (anything that goes "BOOM" is considered class c.....) Of course that doesn't stop anyone from running into Ohio (ten minute drive from here...) and getting all sorts of cool goodies that light up the night sky. I have a real preference for the mortars myself......

In both of the stores I went to everything was buy one get one/two free, they didn't even appear to be marked up.
