zimbardeux
I'd like to think that they would do something with the Commonwealth in Massachusetts, but something tells me they'll either pick DC (which doesn't seem to have as much of an interesting conflict) or New Vegas (which with the multiple options that one can end with could lead to some sort of headache). Focusing outside the US would seem to be a stretch and to completely ignore the BoS/Enclave seems to be something that wouldn't happen.
minngarm
I wouldnt mind seeing some more of the north or central country in the upcomming. I doubt they will make it a direct sequal to other games, more like how FO1 FO2 were not exactly direct but years later as a result of such. Omny
I'd like to see a Fallout game take place outside the United States, like Europe or even China. I know the game is styled after American 1950's Sci-Fi, but I think it could work if done right. Like, maybe if it were set in Britain, it could have a Victorian-Steampunk sort of look, with laser-shooting dirigibles, soldiers in big steam-powered armored suits, and hideous mutants crawling out from the Thames.  Or you could go to Germany and fight the Nazis! Perhaps some remnants of the Nazi regime survived, and now are trying to rebuild the wasteland into a fascist distopia. We've already fought plenty of Communists, Republicans, Democrats, and zombies, why not the Nazis? Plus, how cool would it be to have to fight a giant Nazi robot spider? Or better yet, it could be set in Pripyat, the city where the Chernobyl disaster occurred. I mean, it already looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

I am crying at this comment. Â Or better yet, it could be set in Pripyat, the city where the Chernobyl disaster occurred. Shantih
I would like to see how California looks like under NCR rule. Revisiting places from the first Fallout games. There is a lot that could be done inside the NCR on a political level and there are numerous factions that exist already so taking sides can always be an option. Besides I'm guessing that the Glow is probably rife with mutated creatures and there must be some FEV strains in a forgotten vault somewhere that could be used to liven things up. I think Fallout needs more cults. Hubologists and Children of the Cathedral were absolutely great. I can see no reason why religious groups couldn't exist within the NCR and threaten its stability from within.  Of course if big epic battles are to be depicted it means that some big organization must exist in order to threaten the existing order. Then what about a civil war inside NCR territories? It wouldn't be too farfetched provided the existence of a central government that is corrupt and exploits the riches of a territory where locals would rebel assuming that they could be better off without the NCR bleeding them dry. After all in the wake of the fight with the Legion the NCR military is probably stretched thin and that would be the perfect time for rebels to claim their independance.  A big urban setting with enough characters to make it believable would be a real treat, like the Hub or New Reno or even the LA Boneyard. Scavenging ruins filled with Deathclaws looking for prewar stuff and getting drawn into feuds between caravan trading companies, mercenary outfits and crime families... Just like the good old days. ;)
MojaveMike
I think that the NCR is rebuilt by this point, though.
efftee5
Screw NCR. Bring Ceasar's Legion and another new main faction. The BOS must stay too. It could be cool to have 2 battles at once, like BOS vs Enclave and Legion vs what-not. The story must be better than FNV AND FO3. Anyway, hope Bethesda done thinking and started programming. minngarm
Honestly I find Mr House better and far more interesting than the rest of them. All-though I never do side with him lol.

Bdthemag
I think a fallout with a rebellion element in it as the main story would be pretty interesting. Side with the government and you try to asassinate rebel leaders, and stuff like that. Side with the Rebels and you planting explosives and setting fire to government run buildings.
