@jedimembrain : naw, that helmet was only detailed in ZB. I decided to make a low poly and start texturing it though.

My print screen has stopped working for some reaosn. Nothing ends up in my clipboard any more. :/. then I DLed a program that captured screen shots, and that too has stopped working exactly after capturing that WIP texture on the low poly there. :psyduck:

I'm going to go reboot this s***...

If I may ask.

What programs are you using for modeling?

I didn't know you could create such a great looking helmet with a low polygon number.

I don't know what program he used .. if I had to guess it was 3ds or blender .. but the detail is done in zbrush with a very very very hi poly model then it can be baked onto a normal map that can be used in game and it makes it appear to have higher detail than the shape really does .. The same thing can be done in zbrush too .. but instead of making a low poly mesh and then sub dividing it to detail the normal map you would start with a hi poly mesh and then use a retrotopo tool to draw the low poly mesh over the sculpt and copy the detail over to the low poly model.

Thanks!

Also, do you by any chance know if the same can be done with Sculptris?

It's a free program by the creators of Zbrush.
