jhardingame
Still, it's easier and more legal than any other modding. Consider me as terming it relatively easy. Try porting something like Midas Magic and see how much more difficult it is. That one actually comes down to personal basis. I personally would find it easier (and more fun) to port scripts than have to re-rig armor. :P Edited October 4, 2011 by jhardingame
Ghogiel
Anyway the easiest things to port are some textures

VoltDude
There are many great oblivion mods to add up,i mean ive played oblivion first in like 2006 (Yes when it came out, with my crappy old comp...)At any case its been like 3 years since ive even touched oblivion, might get it again just for fun, still a great game. But if i remember there's no CEG for Skyrim, meaning that mods can be made :]
ziitch
Personally I don't think anything should be ported - Skyrim is a completely new slate and trying to bring in old mods kinda makes the scene not that fresh - It's best that most of us start anew. Now, custom content that was already ported from another game of a different series (such as Sims hairs) might show up still, and that's fine with me since that's something we don't have many people that are skilled in doing that. nofear88
Could somebody port the Skyrim branded iron shield to Skyrim as it is infact a very detailed shield that I think would be better than the actual model it's based off? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39046
Arthmoor
I wouldn't expect a lot of luck porting existing mods to the new engine. There's not even any guarantee that the ESM/ESP format will be retained, and we already know the entire scripting system was thrown out and rebuilt from scratch (confirmed by the devs). Direct model ports won't even be possible until the updates to the NIF format are known, deciphered, and exporters written for them.
Kendo 2
I HOPE no one ports anything. I HOPE people make new content. Look at New Vegas, 8 out of 10 mods were FO3 mods. I'm tired of seeing the same stuff over and over again.
