Fallout New Orleans trademark registration - real or fake?

If they're smart, they'd let Obsidian develop a new Fallout to fill the gap between 4 and 5.

I'd much rather they didn't and let Obsidian go back to what they actually do well, which is not free form open world games.

As for this trademark thing, it makes no sense to ONLY register it in the EU. Why would they not have done so in the US first if it was real?

Only thing I can think of is the IP law differences and first to file vs first to use. Going from memory, EU has first to file system, while the US has more of a first to use. *shrugs*

Also, here's another possible plot twist nobody is considering: What if it's legit, but it's for a card game like TES Legends?

There was a thread on Reddit a couple years back that mentioned a Fallout set in New Orleans. Hell I even contributed to it by commenting that having Lake Pontchartrain filled with Mirelurks would be fun and that having the French Quarter filled with Feral Ghouls seemed almost fitting. Was Bethesda testing the waters on reddit again? Who knows?

That said, I will believe that a new game is coming when Todd Howard stands up and tells me that it is coming and that it "Just Works". 'Til then, I keep a lot of salt on hand; 'cause it is necessary if you ingest this kind of stuff.
