parrotheada1a
It could be a number of different things. You didn't say what type of hardware you have, and that can make a big, gigantic difference. Case in point, on my own rig, I had Skyrim loaded up on a 7200 RPM Seagate HD, and FO4 in my Samsung SSD. The Seagate drive is no match for the SSD, by a factor of 10. Plain unmodded Skyrim would take at least a full 2 minutes to load. Once you added a bunch of mods & DLC, then the time would really increase. With the SSD, I have FO4 + all DLC + almost 200 mods loading up in a little over 2 1/2 minutes from the desktop. parrotheada1a
Try reinstalling it onto the SSD. You should see a huge improvement. You will probably have to to do a total wipe of the game with the reinstallation, but at least you can update all your mods on a clean install. Do a backup of your savegames, and use faceripper for your character. You might not have to start over completely from scratch if you're carefull. JimmyRJump
Start-up times for me have always been extremely long, right from when the game was released. Three to four minutes at the least. Not six to ten, though. Load times (start-up or in-game) haven't changed for me after installing whatever DLC... Am using an OCZ Agility3 120GB SSD for OS and a Seagate Barracuda 8TB SAS 7200rpm hard disk for game installs. Vertidog
I also have this, only recently. Before, they were around 15 seconds, now they're around four minutes.
ClayboTGW
Several things can make start-up times increase one is alot of mods, a huge amount of save games last but not least is a Anti Virus program I know for me I use AVG and it no play nice with Fallout 4 causing crashes and very long game starts including F4SE start up as soon as I tell AVG to stop protection till next restart Fallout 4 will load twice as fast.
