Here's a thought that's loosely related - after you've done the vanilla books, why not add your own unique book. It can be very rare and $$. When the player reads the book, it plunges the player into the story. You'll have the narration doing voice-over as the player "plays out" the story in the book. It could be a horror book or action. It certainly sounds different, though I'm not overly sure as to how much clearer. It took a long while to keep tweaking settings to something that sounded acceptable, so here's two wav files of The Black Star, something I've recorded before, for comparison. What are you playing back your recorded files through that makes you think the first example had too much bass on it?The first one sounded fine and full, there was no heavy bottom end etc, except for a bit of distortion, (Check your input levels, you only want to see the signal go into the yellow very occasionally) I always monitor through headphones, and if I have to check I'll route the audio to my surround system. I'll check future recordings through headphones then, cheers for the tip. As for input levels, I'm using Audacity, so I'm guessing I just decrease the mic input slider? Or is it something else?
