Revolvist
I just noticed I don't always receive a notifications when someone replies to my comments, the reason being that people often click on the 'wrong' reply link. So instead of clicking on the reply link of the comment they're replying to, they click on e.g. the reply link of the top comment. What I wanted to ask is: Does ticking 'Notify me of new comments' in My Settings > Notification Options turn on notifications for these kinds of replies? And is this option on by default? If it's not, I think it should be. People might be missing out on a lot of conversation. Edited November 20, 2015 by Revolvist
patchling
begging is undingified, but interrupting my download to beg for donations is not simply undingified, it is excepionally rude. but that is exactly how the download donation "button" is implimented. first the requirements, if any, page one. but sometimes i'm not paying attention and forget to check, other times it's just a good reminder, so no problems/complaints there. then is the "do you want to donate?" page, which is page two, with a very high probality of occuring, if enabled. then i get to the actuall download itself, page 3, wich gives me the option of which server do i want to use (next time) and a short subscetion of the list of the games i haven't endorsed yet. the download automaticly starts when page three shows up. what i am asking for is the donation button that shows up on download to be moved to what is currently page three, in addition to the other stuff, if you can fit it in without taking out any of the current stuff great. if not i will, eventually, get around to endorsing/abstaining from endorsing the mods i've downloaded sooner or later, so i wouldn't object if that part gets taken out to fit the donate section on that page. mod o and, iirc, nmm both have features that let me know what i haven't decided to endorse or not, and in a fashion that does not interfer with my using my mod manager of choice. i can also check the list of files i've downloaded from the nexus download history to see what i havent decided on yet. i have in the past, and will in the futare, donate. but i'm really getting irrated at the pop ups that are keeping me from downloading the mod. they even show up before i've had a chance to download and install the mod. i'm getting rather mad at that, but i will not hold my objections agnist the mod authors/uploaders who check that box. a lot of the mods i currently use and/or have used in the past are good quality mods. after i started modding skyrim noticed i haven't needed to buy as many new games to keep the tediousness at bay, and the budjet that once went to new games started (slowly) accumlating. so i decided - why not give thesy guys, gals, and teams of guys and galls the money i would otherwise be spending on new games? if some money for a pizza, a dinner out, a new computer, some new computer perfials, a new toothbrush (or other necisity) will encourage them to keep making high quality and fun to play mods then i will. my only objection is getting bombarded with the donaton popups. and that is my only objection. edit: i only ment to put the first two paragraphs, and their content, in on this thread, i did not intend to have the ramble that the third paragraph turned my post into. but i won't take it out. EpiceneBlue
Just a suggestion. I expected when I added an image to a mod image section, they would also show up here - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/8908551/?tb=images&pUp=1 but they do not. That's a bit of a pain. I don't want to have to upload images twice if I want to have them there as well. :-( It would be great if when you add an image to a mod file page, it also showed up at http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/8908551/?tb=images&pUp=1 as well. KonnorEyres
Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I've downloaded from this site before, but I've only just wondered. How do I know if mods work together?
Oubliette
Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I've downloaded from this site before, but I've only just wondered. How do I know if mods work together? It isn't really the right place for this but the answer is: it depends on the game and the mod author. Most Skyrim mods will have a "compatibility" section in their descriptions for example but generally it comes down to the user knowing how the various mods work and how their game handles them. Depending on the game there are also a few programs that help with this (skyrim has xedit, wrye and loot for example) but they are not a complete substitute for being careful, reading directions and tutorials and knowing what you're doing, when and why. NovaRain
About asking for permission, I know I have to get permission for using assets like models or textures from their authors. But what about some simple changes of existing records in the game? For example, if I want to make a FO4 weapon rebalance mod and think "hmm, maybe I should also buff minigun's damage to 12" after seeing Cupressi's Minigun Damage Increase mod, basically I only change the same record in ESM in the same way as he did, do I have to ask him for the permission? It's just a simple change. No-one can claim copyright on that. Btw, this is the wrong place to ask such questions. I suggest starting a thread of your own next time.
