I downloaded the old exe with the console and even replaced the esm files with the ones I luckily had backed up. And I checked to see if there were any newly modified files left. But no. The game still crashes at the main screen...

the instructions said only to rollback the skyrim.exe, so no idea what happens when you rollback esm files too.

Ah, but I did that first. I tried the new and the old exe, I tried the new and the old esm files, all combinations. Even checked with loot and tried to see what files were modified by date (all of the above mentioned). The game still crashes at the main menu. 200+ mods worked perfectly fine until yesterday so it's only bugthesda to blame for ruining my holiday.

Maybe start a new topic on this one. Can't help you there. Seems complicated with the esm files. Take a deep breath..

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with the latest version of SKSE64 (2_00_07).

No matter how hard I try to make it work, for some reason the game won't even load anymore for me. It appears in the Task Manager for a minute or so and then disappears. Since usually these issues were caused my a wrong load order or outdated mod/conflict between mods, the first thing I tried to do was to run Skyrim through the original exe... and in fact it worked like a charm. From Mod Organizer I deactivated all my mods and loaded SKSE to test, but to my surprise I discovered even that didn't seem to fix the issue at all. I installed SKSE over and over again and yet the game still won't function... is there anything else that could affect the script from properly working? I can't seem to figure it out on my own.

I am on Windows 7 64-bit, Mod Organizer 2 is up to date and so is the game with SKSE64. When the mods are on Skyrim doesn't even open, when they are off it opens a black window for a few seconds and then it closes by itself.

Thank you!

UPDATE: It turns out it was actually a very stupid mistake, or distraction, on my part. I didn't realize the shortcut for SKSE in MO2 was named as "SKSE" and not "SKSE64" although the set path was correct. Maybe this will be useful for someone else so I'll leave it here.

Hello,

I am using version 1.1.47 of Skyrim Special Edition, but I am unable to find the SKSE64 related to this version. Not even in http://skse.silverlock.org/ archives.

Would someone please be able to advise me ?

Thank you for your help.

There wasn't one. You should update your SSE.
