RGMage2
I work with a guy who immigrated here from Iraq about 5 years ago. In Iraq he had been a school teacher in a secular system in a secular state; he's a Christian if that matters, and he seems to have a strong dislike for Muslims. Here he does a low paying physical job so it's quite a comedown for him. In his opinion Iraq would have been fine if they had just left Saddam in place to run it. But I wouldn't say it was a total failure, it depends on your perspective. They went for the oil and they got it. The Iraqi state oil company was dissolved and now all the oil leases are in the hands of multi-nationals, mostly American based. What I think really happened is maybe the biggest transfer of wealth in American history - from the poor to the rich. A trillion dollars of tax payer money, not to mention a significant amount of blood was paid out to secure the wealth of Iraq and put it into the hands of American corporations. And we know that this is only fair and right, living in the corporate state as we do, and oil companies are like royalty still practicing the divine right of kings. So I guess it really was mission accomplished. And wasn't it an absolute stroke of genius firing the entire Iraqi army and cutting off their pensions, as well as the pensions for older retired soldiers. Hundreds of thousands of men with guns with no way of making a living. That was probably the founding moment of the Islamic State. As for Trump and Hilary, if Trump wins and all those leftwing loonies really do decide to move to Canada... We'll have to build a wall and make America pay for it. If Hilary wins you'll have to change the words in that song from God Bless America to God Help America.

And are you really serious:? There has been a huge bloodshed to free us all (not alone the Germans) from that: What you are discussing here means "concentration camps" in nationwide size Woooohhh @Staff: Hopefully this thread is not going to exaggerate
TheMastersSon
Watching the election results tonight, by my numbers Trump will win 289-249. In related news, DJI futures are down over 600 points and global markets are crashing. EDIT: Looks like Iowa went for Trump, I had it in Clinton's column. Make it 295-243 final, so far. EDIT2: Nevada went for Clinton, so it's a wash with Iowa's six votes. Original numbers are correct so far, 289-249. JimboUK
The reaction in the liberal media to this has been great to watch, just like Brexit they're stunned, mostly because once again people didn't listen to them.
HeyYou
Well, that was fun. Should be interesting to see what happens in the coming year or so. Trump disagrees with so many of Obama's policies, and executive actions, I suspect that 99% of them are going to be reversed...... Which won't really hurt my feelings. As the republicans will have majorities in both the house, and the senate....... they will be able to push thru whatever policies they care to. Not necessarily a good thing...... Fatalmasterpiece
Well I'm wondering now how long it will be until I lose my home due to medical bills from my disabled partner once she loses her medicaid when Trump repeals the Affordable Care act. I see people celebrating Trump's victory and I'm literally worrying about losing our home and health. Where is the justice in that? People want to "make America great again" at the cost of people literally becoming sick, being rounded up or kicked out. This isn't an America I can believe in -_-

If you have your youth, strongly consider Canada. Any country really that has a sense of common human decency. I'm sorry, but we're all of out of that stuff apparently. Most of these countries have a NHS or equivalent, America being a notable exception.

We had to try hard for months just to get Medicaid and she is finally walking again thanks to medication. There were days I literally carried her or pushed her in a cart so that we could do simple things together like going down the street or the grocery store and she's only 23. While I worry for us, I worry more for the people who's families are going to be ripped apart by deportations. I hope for a peaceful resolution to all of this... twistedmetal23
I'm German and at first i couldn't imagine a USA with Trump as President. I couldn't understand why anyone would vote for such a childish and egocentric man. But that was over a year ago. In the meantime i read many articles and viewed many videos on youtube and i came to the conclusion, that a Canidate like Trump, didn't came out of nowhere, he was born in the loathing of the middle class, against the Establishment. Against the Liberal Nanny State, pretty familiar with what we have in Germany with our grand Nanny Merkel. He understood what those people wanted and hated and used it for his campain. He was clever enough to make the lack of his political experience to his greatest trait. What ever the Lib. Media thrown at him he used it as an example, of how different and apart he is from the Establishment.I don't support everything Trump stands for, but i have to say, i have enough of this political correctness Game, where the next logical step would probably be a thought controlled system, pretty much like in Orwell's 1984 or like the Stasi in the former GDR. I also have enough of the SJW who want to tell me how to think, how ashamed i should be, just because i'm a men or how ashamed i should be just because i called a transgender a she or he and didn't used the fictional pronounce they prefer. Time will tell and i'm not a Trump'er nor am i a Trumphater, i will judge him by his actions, not according to, what some Nanny Journalists want me to believe. I have to agree this whole PC SJW crap has gotten completely on my nerves and I hate what is happening to Germany and many parts of Europe because of it. You have to watch this video , like you I don't agree with Trump mostly , but on the PC SJW millenial types this Cherokee/Irish woman just nails it.
