TheMastersSon
"Watch fox news to learn why, without the propaganda." Reliably one-third of any population or country are too stupid, lazy or both to form their own informed opinions, and must rely on other people to tell them what and how to think. In our country they're known as Fox News viewers and Dittoheads etc. A recent study found Americans who watched Fox News as their only news source knew less about current events than Americans who watched no news at all. Etc. Sooner or later, especially in a democracy like ours, and given well over 120,000 hours of answered Republican Party propaganda, broadcast nationwide and 24/7 under the ridiculous guise of "news", with zero response from their political targets, that all-important gap between the reliably brainless one-third and one-half of our electorate was bridged in this election. It was only a matter of time. We can thank Roger Ailes, Karl Rove et al for much or most of it. It really is the same people and machine that's controlled the RNC's platform and candidates since Nixon, and simply watch what they do to "restore" our country. The very first thing Trump did after walking in the White House yesterday was repeal a $500/year mortgage insurance tax reduction for homeowners, that Obama had recently passed. Your last post linked to CNN, they're hardly trustworthy either. I'll leave this here as a recent example of their dishonesty....
HeyYou
Fox News without the propaganda would be dead air. Same for CNN, MSNBC, and a host of other networks. It isn't news any more, it's a fight for ratings, and honesty and accuracy don't seem to matter. To any of them. Assuming that anyone that watches X channel, is some simpleton that can't think for themselves, does a major disservice to a majority of the population. Doing so simply proves that you are also one of them, just from the other side of the aisle.
skyquest32
CNN is totally bias, there claim of objectivity is a joke. They are just the reverse side of the coin true, but at least fox is a bit more objective than that, not as obvious. Ye gods, cnn should be a bit more subtle in there approach if they want to get anywhere. Its not just propaganda but bad propaganda at that. Which is why it uh...didn't work. Most of the celebrities have been corrupted, (or confused dependant on your viewpoint) which is why they wont preform at the celebrations. This will be remembered no doubt, which may or may not be a good career move the way things are leaning. A smart person economically, learns to sense which way the wind is starting to blow. The odd thing is trumps comments about the media, while in a rational world would be a paranoid and strange claim, ironically were nothing but right...at first, I was like no, hey man don't say things like this...like it was cringe worthy, but then I was like, I'll be damned hes actually right, they were out to get him...the man is just daring to be honest, if inelegant. I admire his courage and tenacity. Given the corruption of the liberal media with cnn leading the pack, I would say to get someone like grim reaper or king diamond out there, they would certainly do it...probably....or bob geldof...a wonderful man in real life...sorry could not resist hahaha....but the flak and misunderstanding that would result would not be worth it. Besides trump is not really a metal kind of guy...Alice cooper might be as far as he would go....(also a nice guy irl). Ok, what is life without a sense of humor? Point is, this liberal house of cards is failing down, the common man dose not want this, people have put up with this getting worse for years and years. Things do go in cycles and this sort of society has been tried and failed as macrocosm under different names for most of recorded history. Read between the lines in your history, but its never been this widespread because of modern technology and social networking. Its not just the old guard ether many young people feel that way as well. People want there culture back, there media back, there art and entertainment and society. If they want to believe in religion, the occult, call things for what they are, as they see it, celebrate holidays openly, and just do there thing, they inevitably will. People are telling these pc liberals in essence they are free to believe whatever they want just don't try to force it down other peoples throats or make them live by it. Don't expect the majority to really care deep down where they live. You overplayed your hand. If your going to do that go peddle your papers somewhere else. Its getting old. We don't care what happened almost 100 years ago, or 200, or 300. Gone days. Trotting out Hitler and others/events out of context, at the drop of a hat, is low, cheap, and wrong. No self respecting person would do it. These people (protesters) don't need to justify themselves, they just don't realize it. No one really wants to bother them. There rights are not going anywhere. that small % of the population can march on there heads or walk around on stilts and it wont change a thing though. Not far or against them. There have always been all sorts and how people choose to live there life is not the issue here, but by there own actions they are making a issue. Trying to enforce minority views on the mainstream and mainstream culture for too long, will only go against the best interest of the minorities and this is harmful and wrong. The reason is human nature and sociology. Whats hardcoded into peoples genetics, in the long run it cant change. A totally liberal society could only really and truly exist forever, in a bubble like a cult. People will only play along so far then they will revolt when they sense whats being done is anti-them, in the way its being done. This serves nether party. Its dangerous, and again, its wrong in my view...yet this has been whats happening with society. Tensions have been mounting for and against. Creating irrational hatred where there was none. This is why this means more than any other election in recent history, trump in essence, by proxy has become almost as a living symbol for a way of life. Hence the trump movement. Also the political issues that have risen with the past overload of libertarian politics. Its possible to be right for the wrong reasons you know. Its possible to corrupt a valid truth by propagandizing and misrepresenting it, and this has happened also Imo. gandalftw
I thought politics and religion was not allowed? But oh well...ah...i'm old and need constant reminders of what is allowed or not... My only interest in pumpkinhead is for entertainment value. If he entertains me i dig him so most of the time i'm really, really, digging him. Why did he win? It's obvious he was devoid of competition. He appeals to the intellectually challenged, the emotionally bankrupt, the angry citizen that believes the government has screwed them. Now it's their turn,it's their turn to put an end to political correctness,to express their racism and xenophobia in an atmosphere of acceptance. At least that's what they're hoping for but it's not going to happen. I'm looking forward to watching as Trump's presidency slowly decays and he has to be replaced by Pence, the denier of evolution and global warming ,hehehe holy Zeus my world is a joke.I feel as if the earth has entered a zone in the cosmos that has caused some kind of dimensional transference that has thrown us all into bizarro world and now we are all htraElings. I voted for Miley Cyrus but she didn't win.I cried... Edited January 21, 2017 by gandalftw

YngvieMalmsteen
When the history books are written about the 2016 election, it sure as HECK better explicitly say "Hillary Clinton and the DNC are the sole reason why Donald Trump won the election" literally ANYBODY could have won against Hillary Clinton. It took someone as terrible as Hillary Clinton to even allow trump to come close to winning. so sad Edited January 22, 2017 by YngvieMalmsteen
TheMastersSon
Fox News without the propaganda would be dead air. Same for CNN, MSNBC, and a host of other networks. Assuming that anyone that watches X channel, is some simpleton that can't think for themselves, does a major disservice to a majority of the population. Doing so simply proves that you are also one of them, just from the other side of the aisle. Polls show that most people don't trust their chosen news service which begs the question, what are they watching it for? When they switch to other channels they're presented with propaganda they trust even less than their chosen news service. I'm not sure what the situation is in the UK, but here in the states our objective journalism, formerly untouched by anyone else in the world, was a casualty of the marriage that occurred between DC and Hollywood in the form of Ronald Reagan. Suddenly "liberals" (big-government tax-and-spend socialists, which as the rest of the world knows, has absolutely nothing to do with liberalism) were under attack and we started hearing phrases such as "liberally biased media" -- as if journalism is, or even can be in theory, something other than a liberal art. And it's when our major media outlets suddenly went from being forces for objective facts and reporting to mere propaganda machines. It was true from NBC and ABC to AP and UPI. The much-hallowed "liberally biased media" has not been heard from since in our country, MSNBC gave America the same nine months of nightly "Countdown to Iraq" that Roger Ailes did, on behalf of Karl Rove and the exact same propaganda machine. Take a glimpse at one of the most underreported stories in American history, and note its publishing date: https://www.thenation.com/article/lights-cameras-attack-hollywood-enlists The ridiculous propaganda campaign, to try and tie Saddam Hussein to 911 and justify the largest oil control theft in world history, began two months later in January and February 2002. At the time it started, fewer than 10% of the American people believed Hussein had anything to do with the 911 attack, by the time the campaign was over a year later (and Bush invaded Iraq in March 2003) that number was over 80%. Mission accomplished. We got fooled again. Again. The only definition possible of a "conservatively biased media" is fascism, and that's all Roger Ailes/Karl Rove/FNC et al can push 24/7 onto the American people. A horribly narrow neoconservative agenda that is more than ready to doom our federal government to bankruptcy and collapse rather than threaten the profits of multinationals, Big Pharma and ExxonMobil. Being employed by Fox is what defines one as a propagandist and disqualifies one from being a journalist, and the punchline to the joke is that the exact same has been true for virtually all of America's major news outlets since Reagan. E.g. if you think Roger Ailes is in a big rush to ask Trump whether $40 billion annual tax subsidies to Big Oil will continue, now that ExxonMobil's CEO is our Secretary of State, see if it happens. See if MSNBC asks these questions. Or CBS or ABC or anyone else. As mentioned imo we're looking at certain unprecedented despotism in our federal government, it's already collapsed imo and simply awaits final sweeping into history's dustbin. After 45 years of forcing free-market capitalism to compete with totalitarian Communism and socialism they're in de facto bankruptcy, with the only glimmer of hope being Trump's proposals for tariffs as a solution for China. As any high school student knows, China dictates the value range of their own currency and therefore tariffs can accomplish nothing except to raise prices for everyone. Trump knows it too. But he's proposing them anyway. Stupidity = infinite punishment. Even his inauguration day struck a new low for abject hypocrisy, he proclaimed that the American people will never be ignored again, within hours of beginning to dismantle the ACA -- which is currently supported in whole or in part by 82% of us. You think Roger Ailes and Sean Hannity are up in arms about it and will demand an answer from Trump? Probably not.
