Sort of disappointed in Modding community

To a certain extent, I agree. The creativity over at Skyrim is a bit greater.

Actually the modding community for Skyrim has just been around waay longer. Skyrim was released in November 2011, Fallout 4 was released in November 2015. Modding is a hobby that people do in their spare time, without pay. So it stands to reason that given 5 years, the quantity, quality, and creativity of the selection you're going to find for Skyrim vs Fallout's one year (and the CK has only been out since the very end of April) is going to be significantly different. 5 years from now the mods available for Fallout 4 will be every bit as impressive as those for Skyrim. If you take a look at older Fallout versions you'll see they still get new mods even today and their selection is much better...because they've been out a lot longer.

By the way, for those who are interested, you can use my ideas. I won't feel offended if you can make them happen and I can't. Open source for whoever wants them.

I was thinking about that too. Every year some new mods come out that pave the way for additional things to be built on top of, such as the HDT physics system or the Fores New Idle System framework. Big projects that can be turned around and repurposed or used for something else.

 

The community here will also mature in fluency and knowledge of the Fallout 4 Creation Kit which will allow things to be accomplished.

I think your reading ability lacks.

The first things I wrote was that I am grateful for everything so far.

Stop jumping to conclusions.

I did NOT make a timetable or anything, it's a list of what I would like to see, whether or not anyone does make anything from it is on their whim and mercy.

 

Modders community make great improvements to the games, and in some cases actually fix the games *cough*Oblivion*cough*, I'm sorry I seem to have problems with my throat.

They also seem to have a sense of humour, which you actually don't notice in my Opening Post.

 

Yes this topic came up before I posted the other one, the time stamp confirms it, since you are checking every single thing someone does how about you look at the timetables first.

 

I'm not using that many mods to endorse everything, and I am in the middle of trying some mods, some just don't work or crash my game so I am not going to endorse those. I believe that's fair.

 

If being grateful for all the mods the community has created is not showing manners, then I concede.

You decided the tone on this one. I been around a long time here, I've modded, I've helped, I've lurked, I've learned and heck I even moderated for a number of years. I have seen post like this many times. You can listen to what pretty much everyone is telling you (not just me) or you can keep digging. And I don't need to be able to read to know how this one is going to end.

Do you have any mods published? Probably not. Therefore the failure of the mod community lies with you. People make mods to change their game a little to the way they would like it. They then have the good generosity to share these creations with others. And we appreciate that. At least most of us seem to.

 

And then comes the ingrates. They are the ones who complain that the community is failing because the modders are not making the types of mods that they want. They want the modders to get off of their lazy duffs and make mods for them without giving anything back in return.

 

This is not a mod factory where you can pre-order your mods thinking that you have a right to unlimited free upgrades to your game just because you gave $60 to Bethesda (or maybe didn't) for your game. As the kids would say, "Get real, dude".

 

Now download the Creation Kit or G.E.C.K. or whatever they are calling it now and start modding for yourself. We are not your staff.

Ah so this is why you don't endorse? It's not lack of gratitude or ineptitude in getting mods to work, but rather as punishment because we didn't do things the way you wanted?
