Update

I decided to move to low sec. To a place called Dudreda (0.3). This was the only place within 11 jumps offering me level II agents- and I was getting sick of repeatedly killing the same disgruntled employee hiding in an asteriod. And within a few hours of the move to Dudreda I was attacked.

This was all Abramul's fault. I had shifted operations to Reset, a 0.7 system. There was a beautiful Saturn like planet there (Reset VI) and I had anchored 6 secure cargo cannisters in the nearby belts. The numerous stations in the system offered all sorts of manufacturing and research facilities. Corporation offices were cheap. I used my Moa fitted with 4 miner IIs and mining laser upgrades to fill the cannisters, and my Badger to collect the ore, which was refined and used to manufacture Condors and other firgates and shuttles. Corp members placed these on the markets in and around Hek (Hek is one of the commercial hubs in the Metropolis region). The ships would sell like hot cakes, with up to 200% profit. In my spare time I used my caracal for doing missions for Joint Harvesting. Life was good.

Till Abramul one day started asking me about why my standings were low with the Republic (I think). There is war brewing apparently. I still have no clue what is going on. Abramul and Maula have views on this. They want to join somebody and apparently I was working (doing missions) for the enemy. I was coerced into working for the Kursual Tribe. These guys were boring. The Amarr's I was working for before had better music, better missions, better stations, better ships, and better looking women (the last bit may not be true).

So I moved to Dudreda. In spite of having plugged in 30 million worth of implants a couple of days before. I was waiting at an acceleration gate chatting to Abramul (who was many systems away), when suddenly I saw a ship swoop in, and my shields were down before I knew what hit me. Fortunately I was able to turn the shield boosters on before serious armour damage. Thankfully the warp core stabilizer also worked and I managed to run.

Apparently the law is NBSI: Not Blue Shoot It. Fortunately Killer Skull (new corp member) had asked us to go blue (change standing to positive) with a number of corps a while ago. Still, only 20 to 30% of the people in the constellation are blue to DIN corp.

Have moved both my cruisers here. Fortunately I now have an internal security agent, and I get to test out all the engineering and electronic skills I am interested in improving to ensure an adequate combat set up. Have equipped the Moa for salvaging. I am really happy with my cruisers. Though I am able to fly battlecruisers and battleships- but I can never make enough money to buy them. Abramul, Maula and Killer are all multimillionaires. Maula mines (all day). Abramul- does everything (nearly all day). Killer rats.

I am sure Steppen Lemming is also into a lot of money. Last I heard he had formed Lemming and Lemming Corporation. After he left the corp, we moved to Uttinder for a while (one jump from Hek). That was a good place- though no manufacturing facilities, which is why we eventually moved to Reset after trying a number of places around Hek (rents at Hek not affordable).

The corp is still alive.

My apologies for this patchy update. Could write a (very boring) book about all that has happened, but not today.

An observation:

High sec is a sea of unknowns. In low sec everybody is somebody.

Time to get into factional warfare? :D

Our corp is in Amarr faction. Alliances cannot join factional warfare and so, instead, they wardec the top corps on faction killboards to get their fill. As a result our corp has had to pull out of FW to deal with the war decs but is now going back into it as far as I know.

I haven't been playing too much recently because my social life has spiralled upwards as I'm back in my home town, back from uni like many of my friends, and there's lots of catching up to do. It'll die down soon enough which will allow me to work more on the site and play more Eve.

I've just finished learning all the necessary skills to fly a Caldari Recon ship (Falcon weeee) with all T2 fits and good EWAR skills. Falcons are awesome; I can jam up to 4 ships at once from 230km away :D

Next on the list are HACs, then some T2 frigates like Covert Ops (already learnt but don't have Frigate V), Interceptors, Assault Frigates (learnt for HACs) and Interdictors.

I've been seriously contemplating getting an alt character for industry. I made a killing (about 6 billion isk over the course of a few months) in Fountain selling skillbooks on the market there for profit and will hopefully be able to replicate that success in the next 0.0 alliance we join, if we ever do. As a result I want to "buy" an alt industry character instead of start from scratch. 5b isk will buy a character with 25M - 35M SP that'll be able to fly jump freighters and make some decent stuff. Then I can really wh*%# the market.

You should see the spreadsheets and plugins I have setup simply to calculate earnings, taxes, when/what I need to buy, etc.. I knew this Business Studies course would come in handy! :D

Perhaps I should setup an Eve Online forum here? :)

Am experimenting with character generation, and made an industry alternative character, though this 5b isk solution never crossed my mind! even if it did, I could never afford it. Am constantly broke- as soon as I make a few million, it is spent on an ever-growing list of extremely expensive "essentials". Am seriously thinking of opening another account and training a character for mining/industry- who can generate the cash while I indulge in whatever fancies me (there you have it- no great master plan to take over the region).

I am all for an eve forum here. You can't lose anything by doing it. May be difficult to predict the response. Please start the forum with a list of the plugins you use, and an example spreadsheet and your tips on making money :)

I havent played eve for a few months now, but maybe its time to get back into it... RL essentially stopped me from even having time to log in for a while, but its died down enough that i may bne able to play a little...

I left rather suddenly, and there may well be several people who are rather angry at me for just vanishing, especially those who i was working for, but it shouldnt be anything i cant sort out. :)

And yeah, an EVE forum would be a great idea!

I started Cruiser V before I left, which was 40-something days, but I have a nsaty feeling that may have ended by now. I would have started playing again already, but I made the unfortunate discovery the my sub has run out, and I dont have enough cash to to renew it. =/

So I'll probably have lost a few weeks by the time I get back to it. :(

40 days? Jeez....you need to get on to doing some learning skills. Word is one of the things the new player council will be discussing with the devs is the removal (and hopefully reimbursement) of learning skills cause it seriously gimps new players. They give you 1m SP to start you off with but you still need to spend atleast a month training learning skills else you're completely gimped compared to other players.

40 days is actually a complete guess. It was somewhere in that region though. :P

You have to remember that I'm an Intaki... we have probably the worst perception out of all the bloodlines, so we always take longer than others to train ship skills... I cant remember what learning skills I had, but I'm pretty certain they were quite good.

As for the CSM... it is an issue that should be discussed, but personally I agree more with Jade Constantine that the war mechanics need to be completely redone, and that is much more important than learning skills IMO.
