  1. 1. Just what it says, why are people so stupid/insist on doing stupid stuff?

    • They get caught up in a moment and don't think
      3
    • They don't think the rules apply to them
      1
    • They don't think anything will happen to them/they won't get caught
      1
    • They lack the emotional/mental maturity to think their actions through
      2
    • Something else (describe below)
      3
    • ALL the things! (all the above)

You see it all the time: celebrities and politicians engaging in sexual shenanigans, going in and out of jail, rehab, etc., people calling 911 over Chicken McNuggets, and here on Nexus, people trolling/flaming/pirating/console modding. WTH, people? You know the rules, you know the consequences. So why does humanity insist on being as idiotic as possible at times? Edited by nyxalinth

For the poll... All of the above.

It's most often the feeling that the rules are for other people, or they simply don't care about the rules. But humanity in general tends to be rather stupid and self-centered so it isn't too surprising when you look at the bigger picture.

Personally I would love to see how the public would react to a politician who openly admits that he's done drugs and still occasionally smokes pot, committed adultery with some male prostitute, spent time in jail, but is honest when it comes to saying who is providing them with funds and why they give contracts to certain companies. You know... transparent.
