Deleted30666895User
I recently contacted Google with this question If i am a star why am I am not getting the views? (very humble) The reply was this: Because you are in gaming, which is an extremely crowded field, you will need some luck to make an impact. For example, in the past week, 27,000 Skyrim videos were uploaded. OK, now let me find how many views the 500th most viewed video received. This video is in the top 2% in terms or popularity (i.e., it is more popular than 98% of the other Skyrim videos posted in the last week). It has a total of 3 views. 3! I am now semi-retired, and want to support modders with reviews and tutorials. Some comments on my current small Chanel are very encouraging, I wont give the link or I will be accused of spamming. I was a pro trainer for years, and want to give back now I am nearing semi-retirement Has Nexus any plans to promote YouTubers who can promote mods like nobody else can? Or is this saturated, with the competition their appears to be no point according to Google best regards James

Dark0ne
We have a videos section on the site, which you can see here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/videos/view/? We don't generally promote YouTube videos or channels in our site news because there are a lot of YouTubers out there covering Bethesda modding alone, and if we were to promote each and every one with news posts, our site news would simply be swamped with YouTube related articles. In the past we've referenced helpful videos (most of which were Gopher's, as he's been very accommodating to us in the past in making tutorial videos at our request) but by and large, we leave YouTube to Youtube. LeddBate
There's already some synergy between modders and YouTubers in the form of videos featuring mods being embedded on the mod's front page. People watch the video to get a better idea of the mod's functions and/or appearance. Then, if they find the video well-made, they end up subscribing in many cases. This is how Brodual and MxR (just to name a few) probably got a LOT of new subscribers -and how the Skyrim community in general became aware of them.
