CelerasRingor
I don't understand what is so great about Skyrim. Because of the way the quests and storyline are centered, at the end of the game there is really no sense of accomplishment. I beat the game once, uninstalled it, and haven't played it since but Fallout I play all the time and have probably beat it over 50 times... VincentIcarus
Honestly, I'm pretty much done with Skyrim for right now. The Nexus (Skyrim) has just been FLOODED with new modders and new mods so for now, I'm going back to New Vegas until all this flooding stops and all the excitement dies down. terzho
The golden age of fallout modding is over apparently......haven't seen a good quest mod in a while. Been playing Skyrim for a while now and am enjoying that and am anticipating the mods that are gearing up. Finally accepted that my fallout won't run anymore.......it's been a good run........323 hours, 20 gigs worth of mods....even managed to play all the dlcs before it died. Sulo
The only reason I am sad is that Skyrim has been such a disappointment. I quit after 150 hrs and started a new session with the New Vegas GECK while I am waiting for ME3. Well, I already have 704 hrs on my New Vegas account and I think there will be many more spent in the Mojave... Apparently I am a New Vegas addict - the last game that has been so addictive for me was Morrowind. Don't worry, New Vegas won't die that fast and the Fallout series as a whole will prevail anyway. When I see the thousands of *sigh* "mods" for Skyrim - haha. Fallout never changes ;)
asdfth12
I have a hunch that your 20 gigs of mods might be why your FO won't run anymore. NV with all dlc is ~9 gigs, and you've got twice that amount in mods installed over it. When you make that many changes to the base game, of course it's not going to run right. I'm honestly suprised that you didn't have CTD's ever other minute when you passed 10 gigs in mods.
wyvernix
Ironically, despite being exceedingly hyped up for Skyrim, I find myself scurrying back to New Vegas. I find it sad that the modding community has died down a bit, but I suppose it's to be expected with a larger title overwhelming the Nexus currently. On a personal note, I have quite a few mod ideas I wish to take on for New Vegas and I'm currently familiarizing myself with the GECK and it's scripting language to learn how to express my ideas in a more full form. It's a bit ambitious, but I'm hoping to bring a decent mod to the table eventually to show that this game still has great potential behind it.
