RevanFanMan
Does anyone know if you have to pay for the same mod repeatedly? Namely if you uninstall do to bugs and releases a new version, new PC, etc. I'm kinda annoyed at the fact that I requested that Gauss rifle last year in the request forums and someone started on it and never finished. Now I'm finding out I have to pay for it. So I figured I'd try it out and if I don't like it I'll get rid of it and if I get a better PC I might try it again. Evangela
I dont know what else we expected. IMO better than minimum wage shouldn't cut it. Royalties is what these people deserve. Now we get to pay micro transactions in a single player, rpg. Solid move bethesda and CC, solid move. Breking new ground everyday, on how much we can be f***ed. Horse armor and paint jobs. 1$ per 100cr, roughly. He should be glad it's the crown and not euros, where the dollar continues to sink in value.Having said that, the exchange rate should be considered when submitting to these guys. Also the US Federal minimum wage is about 8/hr(maybe 8.75) so US based modders should think about that too. If you put in months worth of work and only get paid at minimum.. errr.. no. You deserve better(imo). Edited August 30, 2017 by Rasikko
Crustik
So,....I am curious. Do you guys think that everytime they add something to CC, they will do it in a way of updating the game ? You know, if they do THAT, potentionally we will be left with outdated F4SE everytime, no?

(and yes i'm aware it's basically "when it's done")
LucasKaneqd
Day 1: F4SE compatibility broken, no apparent way to keep playing 1.9.4 and paid assets files added to our folders "just because". Man, now I'm really worried about how CC is going to affect the modding and mod-user community.
cossayos
Don't be so sure about that. The majority of players don't mod their games. Also, I don't know how old you are, but I am too old to expect AAA being made for me. Most players are much younger, most players play on console (I'm from Germany, and according to Chris Roberts Germany has an extraordinaryly large PC community) and most players just want to plug and play. Old enough to have modded my games since the 90ies. And yes, German boards are a chore. Less helpful and pretty much full of self entitled persons. That's why I never go there. But, since even a taxi driver in my hometown was active doing some work for the unofficial Fallout patches, not all hope is lost.
LucasKaneqd
Mods should remain "as they are" for the benefit of everyone involved, especially for games so full of issues as Vanilla FO4. I wouldn't even mind paying an affordable subscription to have access to all mods (I already do in a way, in fact, via Nexus Premium, and I make donations to modders 'cause many of them just deserve to be paid) although of course not everyone should be forced to, and most people couldn't afford to pay for every mod they use. Didn't make myself quite clear there, my point is, even if we accepted there should be a cost for using mods, I think the way the CC is implementing it, is the worst possible one. The worst for the user, the worst for the modder, the worst for keeping a healthy modding community, so the worst for the game as a whole.
pra
Why is everyone so mad? They gave everyone the assets for free didn't they? They are sitting in unencrypted standard .ba2 files. It would be perfectly legal to write an .esp or .esl file of your own to activate content everyone already has and share it to the modding site of your choice right? Heck, just put it right up on Bethesda.net  For those curious, those assets made up 681MB of the 2.1GB update. It probably would be, but I think they would try to get such a mod removed anyway. Bethesda will most certainly have more money for lawyers than Nexus.

That's semi-justified but they took it "way over the hill". Look at this rubbish they calling CC. Absolute trash. Cash grabbing the console players, particularly PS4 players, and treating the platform base as if it was as dumb as mobile users. Maybe they are if they paying it, I seen the prices on my mostly untouced XBone S a few days ago, I wouldn't pay what they asking for some of them games which I can get through Steam at a much better price, and have ability to mod and up the gfx settings etc. So maybe they on to something there. It is clear that it's no longer about the passion of making the games anymore, it's about the sheer cash grab to be made. This is what devastates me as a hard fan of their games. I want to believe the next game will be so much better. But I keep getting let down in one way or another every game that passes. They are great games, but so much bugs and half-baking here and there that it kills me. This will be the final nail. Their fan base was seeded on the PC, now they giving us the finger in essence and going elsewhere. Bethesda is the Ishtar of gaming companies.
