djjohnjarvis
Just thought I would let you know that Bethesda aren't content with upsetting people with this Creation Club BS, now they are removing mods with no warning and not even telling you that they actually removed it and why. It's like they are trying to become the most hated company. Sofia, one of the most popular Skyrim followers was deleted recently from the Xbox One mods on Bethesda.net for no reason. There is nothing in there that violates any terms. No nudity or swearing and any additional assets (the skin texture and hair) are free to use for non-commercial use. Now I've got to think whether it's even worth the huge amount of hassle to sort it out especially if I have to start from scratch since she was one of the top mods on there. Ethreon
Report to admins instead of making this post. Most likely you got beyond the report threshhold and the mod was automatically taken down. Only moderators can fix it back.
DoctorKaizeld
yeah odds are people just spam reported it, the Bethnet bot most likely got it.
djjohnjarvis
Ok I'm just saying, fair enough hide the mod temporarily but they shouldn't just delete it and say nothing. I could be taking a break from modding and it would be gone for months or even for good and I wouldn't know.
Ethreon
*shrug* This is beth website, works as well as their game.
Dark0ne
Wait...there's a bot that will automatically hide or delete a mod once it reaches a certain threshold of reports? Is this confirmed to exist or is it just assumed?
Ethreon
It's automatic and happened many times, including to unofficial patch at some point. I'm not sure if it was confirmed officially or not.
Dark0ne
If true, the mind boggles at who thought that was a good idea.
Jeir
It's possibly due to how few moderators they actually have, that said moderators only work during business hours (9-5, 5-day week), and that they are only allowed to moderate a certain part of the site (forums or mods; no crossover. I think I remember mention of GStaff being frustrated that he couldn't do anything about stolen mods, as he could only moderate the forums). As soon as it hits evening or the weekend, there's no moderation for mods, which is why Friday evening is the most popular time for stolen mods to go up - it's a free-for-all until Monday morning. So, instead of getting more people in, even volunteers like with the Nexus, this is their 'fix'. They ignored your offers of help when they were setting things up. Are you really surprised they're still being stupid? (I'm also not sure if even the mod-moderators are really that active anyway; I know for a fact there have been instances of stolen CBBE files on that site that had been up for months, despite several reports. This was before the auto-hiding/deleting thing came in.)
DoctorKaizeld
Yeah I've heard it mentioned by the staff. Pretty stupid in my opinion
