That was and still is my opinion of your argument/debate point. It is not a personal attack and has nothing to do with you personally. Also btw your response to my charge was "Quite possibly", so it couldn't have been far from true.

I'm glad you cleared that up so that when I say that you're arguing like a colossal hypocrite, you can be assured that it is not a personal attack, nothing to do with you personally, and is my opinion of your debate points.

Finally. Saying an argument is that of (or like) a hypocrite is different than calling the poster a hypocrite, personally. Unfortunately the latter is what occurred and what you seem fixated on, according to recent posts. No clue why.

Emp effects can be more far-reaching than just a small area that is directly affected. In the early 2000's, the entire east coast power grid was brought down by one Raccoon. (no word on if it was a muslim raccoon....) Sure, the coon only trashed one transformer, but then, we ended up with a cascade failure, as other grids tried to 'fill the gap', were overloaded, and themselves failed. Once the reaction started...... there really was no stopping it. Most of the east coast was without power for 3 to 10 days....... (and I use 'coast' rather loosely, as I live in south central Michigan, and our power was out for 3 days......)

Now, if you whack an area with a small air burst a-bomb, the immediate area will be instantly deprived of power, surrounding areas will try and fill the gap, and we will end up in the same situation as we did a decade and change ago. Use a larger bomb, and the effects become more widespread. And that won't be something you recover from in a few days either, the equipment directly exposed will likely need to be replaced, and that can possibly include the high-tension wires..... Not a small undertaking......

HeyYou, I agree with most of that, but it's a far cry from Woolsey's fear mongering. That's what I took issue with. Where I live, when we lose grid power few people even notice because most everyone has their own generators. And they're gas powered which has zilch to do with our country's electrical grid.

Yeah, generators are pretty popular here too... Though in the five years I have lived here, I think the longest I have been without power was about 3 hours one day after an ice storm. :)

Jury is still out on just how much of an effect EMP will have on various computerized engine controls...... cars/small engines just don't have the long wire runs to act as an antenna for the EMP....... So, maybe they will still work, maybe they won't.

Just a thought for you to mull on. Your and my generator that is natural gas powered will provide electricity IF there is natural gas in the pipeline. Once the main electrical grid is down what will power the pumping stations and sub stations?

Getting back on topic, if you want pathetic, we've now read a half dozen stories claiming Trump's main motivation in the NK conflict is to boost his ailing popularity and job approval numbers. Apparently he took notice of something that happened last April that caused a brief and so far only spike in his numbers. Edited by TheMastersSon

I don't think the donald gives two hoots or a holler about his approval ratings........

That, and there are a selection of 'news' sources out there that just LOVE to Dump On Trump. If Donald found the cure for cancer, and gave it away for free, there are news organizations out there that would find a way to spin it to make him look bad.

It looks a lot like Obama's first few months in office did, just different news organizations on the rampage.

By all accounts Trump has a monster ego, imo it would be astonishing for anyone who's been that wealthy for that long to have some other kind of ego. But we do know he spent his first entire day as president spinning the dismal attendance numbers at his inauguration ceremony. Not a good sign imo.

Well, I guess this has all been posturing for both sides. I mean I don't really want another war just as most others don't. But I know this crap will just continue until there actually is a war, whether it is started intentionally or by accident is irrelevant at this point. What is relevant is that lil' kim seems to have a fixation with the US. A fatal one if he ever does anymore than talk. Meanwhile the Prez just waste more tax money by flexing some military muscle. Things would be much different for these "leaders" if it was just their asses on the line- and not a bunch of people simply trying to live in peace.

I'm sure as hell glad that I am not 20 anymore and have to worry about being sent to fight some meaningless war in some place Iv'e only seen on TV maybe. Politicians and media groups that start all this saber rattling in the first place should be the ones doing the fighting!!! I would pay good money to see some of the political and media bloodsuckers getting pummeled! Hell if we found a way to stage some of these events legally, the working class of all our countries could clean house and rake in plenty of funds for civil projects and stuff. Sorry, just dreaming out loud....

Actually the thought of those two going at each other in some kind of futuristic death match sounds like some fun! Who do you think would win a mano a mano between the Trumpinator and Lil Kim? Who cares! Let's throw 'em in a ring and watch the entertainment! Oops! I think there are some govt spooks at my door! Guess that Trump and Kim mod for FO4 will have to wait.
