New Nexus Mods design launched

Apparently for me, I've found several topics regarding the New Design. As I posted at the other topics, please ... I can not pinpoint what it is, but the new design is so hard on my eyes. It forces me to rear back but then I have to close in to read. I have noticed other people posting their problems with eye strain, yet, I have not once noticed feedback on those who have that problem. May we have some kind of feedback on this issue? I'm not opposed to reconstruction of the design, it's just hard to read.

 

I can't reduce the screen size for the pics, because it reduces the text as well.

I respect trying to stay modern but this new design is so horrible to navigate and look at. It's like you guys designed it to be used on a tablet.

I prefer the old layout. How can I stop the '' you are viewing the old layout '' message from appearing at the top ? :smile:

Sadly I think the answer is to use the new layout. :sick:

An Adblock program like uBlock Originwill also solve this.

But it is only a temporary solution as the nexus team seems hellbent on forcing the new and "improved" design.

More likely, most of those users just don't care to post their opinion.

Lastly, please switch back to the old layout, or at least allow us to check and choose a preference in our account info for which layout we'd like to be using.

Of around 10 mil users only a small fraction is voicing any opinion, be it positive or negative. You want to see an actual reaction to bad changes? See the new patreon changes and the overwhelming response they got within the userbase.

The new website is way too slow and the new UI is very hard on my eyes ( information overload in tight space might be the reason ).

 

Using the site is now a painful experience.

Old design is much more familiar mainly because it is as it is for a long time.

At least I dont remember any changes during last 6 years.

I would definitely vote for keeping the old design. New one is very confusing.

But I must say that screenshots on mods are opening much much faster/smoother.

Wow, from a cursory look at the comments, it seems I'm the only one that likes the new design. From my end it's faster, is better suited to screen sizes that are not from a bygone era, i.e generally bigger/higher rez, and has the functionality in a more useful and logical layout.

 

Add my vote to stick with it please.

 

 

I need a setting on the account page, that lets me only use the new site, as it's a pain in the butt having to always swap out the www for rd. Both addresses use the same two IPs, so a local host file redirect, will not work.

I really like it, actually. A few minor changes here and there, but it seems like most people are just bashing it because of habits
