cumbrianlad
Hi. I've never seen this before but I was testing my Severin Manor mod and all was going well. I'd got the housecarl working fine (he's a great follower by the way) and the family had moved in and were using all the idle markers. Lovely. The place looked great, everything was functioning. I decided to do a bit of enchanting. Unfortunately when I test, I won't use unnecessary mods or console commands, so I was stuck with my 30 second vanilla enchanting potions... No problem. I'd drop my un-enchanted Dawnguard shield and the un-enchanted ancient Falmer armour on the floor by the arcane enchanter. That way I only had the items I wanted to enchant come up when I used it, saving time. It was an excellent plan, or so I thought... right up to the point my crafting was interru... "Hands off!", yelled Mjoll, "That's my armour!" The angry cry from behind me totally screwed up my first enchantment. "Over my dead body it is!" The Scandanavian voice (male even-toned) of Sigmund, the Housecarl retorted savagely and in tones that definitely weren't even.. I turned and to my shock, Mjoll and Sigmund were exchanging blows! the fight raged across the hallway from the crafting area and into the greenhouse. Naturally, I was appalled by this. I did the only thing any right-minded Dragonborn would do. I quickly picked up all of the expensive (and unique) pieces of armour from the floor, checking that my treasonous wife and housecarl hadn't stolen any of it, while they beat the ?*!* out of each other. When I was happy, I noticed that it was strangely quiet. Feeling a bit guilty, I went out into the hall to check for corpses. Sigmund was sweeping up something in the greenhouse! Gods! That wasn't why I put an idle sweep marker next to one of the planters! You're not supposed to use it to dispose of my wife's body!... ... Ah, no, my mistake. Mjoll was in the bedroom. In typical Nord fashion, they'd had a massive punch-up to settle the score! Phew! Has this ever happened to you, or is this a weird glitch in my mod that needs attending to? In all honesty, if it is a quirk of how I've done the mod, I love it and want to replicate it. Why pay to watch boxing on TV when you can watch your Skyrim housecarl and wife go at it (fighting, not love-making!) It would have been an interesting contest if blades had been drawn. Mjoll had Grimsever but Sigmund is based on Frea and dual-wields standard stalhrim war axes. I'd bet on Sigmund... where's your money?

I'm going to do it more often, I think. No, despite all of my hours playing oldrim and SSE, it's never happened. I tend to keep hold of my hard-earned armour and weapons. I think I'll stage a re-match and this time I'll watch them closer. At least the kids stayed out of it.

LeddBate
It's funny to drop stuff in a crowded market square. You'll get everything from some well-mannered townie chasing you down to hand the item back to you, to guards fining you for littering, to knock-down, drag-out fights between two (or more) townies. To me, the funniest fights are when two kids go hammer-and-tongs at each other for whatever I dropped.
