In CoreVault101 Jasmine led a large taskforce, that included her father James. The CoreVault was designed, built, identical to the rest of TechVault101 except that there had been a big battle there. The conflict hat taken place fairly recently and had only seemed to have directly effected part of the hidden vault. Yet dead security guards were neatly stacked in status bodybags along with techies, scientists, orderlies, clerks and plenty of others. Turrets were destroyed or so badly damaged as to be at least semiactive and the same was true of robots along with more basic remoterobots as guided by supercomputer network-systems.

Chambers had been stripped of resources and even machinery. Robots had been taken. If there were survivors, from the battle they were either hiding in part of CoreVault101 or had completely fled from it. Perhaps they had also taken many resources but plenty were left for the Vaultfolk101 to use.

Then the special places begun to be found; that is the ones linked with the original experiment and ones linked to changes in some kind of changes to the agenda.

61.2

There had been five big radroach breeders of which two were totally intact and remaining while one had parts removed but was mostly intact. Two had been totally removed. The same was true for five big radroacher breeders having been formerly radroach breeders.

Then there had been the two roachman breeders, at least three times bigger than the radroach or radroacher breeders. One was left behind.

The cyborging experiments, with radroachers and roachmans, were not all left but much was along with related experimental projects.

In huge statuscapsules were stored 100s of radroaches or, in their own statuscapsules, 10s of radroachers. Other such statuscapsules had been taken.

A few, smaller, statuscapsules, held cyborged radroachers and roachmans that were marked a experimental prototype failures, hence their being left behind.

Most of the vaultfolk, in CoreVault101, had survived what had turned out to be a battle between those tired of the ruthless control of the Rani and her cohorts and the Rani's forces. The woman Timelord had vanished in her RaniTARDIS, taking her partners, followers-minions and stolen resources with her. The survivors were only too happy to surrender CoreVault101, to the greater TechVault101, along with themselves. The TechCorps, including VaultTech, had ceased to be in contact with them over 150 years ago. A hidden cable communications, and teleport, network of network-systems had both been cut off and the utility-belt they went along was found to be deliberately collapsed about three kilometres out from TechVault101. There had been no proof of it being deliberate sabotage. Any loyalty to the TechCorps had drained away long ago when the CoreVault vaultfolk realised that were abandoned.

Jasmine found herself led to the big monitoring chamber viewing much of TechVault101 only to find it semiactive as no vaultfolk had done any hitech spying for decades. The centre had closed down when it did not seem necessary any more to keep going experiments and when a voyeuristic group had been caught using the surveillance tech to spy on women in bedrooms, shower rooms, and such like. The five men were terminated.

The Rani had arrived, taken over for some years, then had been forced to leave but it had not taken much to do so which indicated that she was actually ready to do so.

Jasmine began meetings of integration of the CoreVault101 folk into the greater society and population.

The Rainbotaze, as a Rainbosphere, led other types of Tazespheres and now Shadotaze, Rainbotaze, Greyztaze and Illumitaze to help deal justice against the Great Enemy. For the Great Enemy had stolen control of the large number of Shadotaze, by destroying controlling Shadospheres, and had then unleashed them upon NewWashington. Yet It had also failed to take any real control over those Shadotaze, causing them to attack wildly, in chaotic form, and thus to suffer greatly.

It was extremely hard to understand why the Great Enemy did what it did which was one reason it was so hard to fight.

There were no zombies for that was the way of the Great Enemy and not of the Shadotaze. Instead there were humanoids of all four types of Tazefolk being Rainbonoids, Shadonoids, Illuminoids and Greyznoids. Nor were the shazemans being shaze human hybrids or anything else like them since they were a mystery to the Tazespheres leading to this force. This included the Wanderer.

They phase shifted, when they could, through areas mostly bare except for basic fixtures but sometimes where a great collection of museum artefacts had been stored away in canister shelf storage. The Tazefolk had no interest in what was there except for the Wanderer.

In a great tunnel chamber, with museum displays down one side of steam locomotive replicas of real OldEarth machines, shadomans attacked the newcomers. The monstrous power armoured figured fired energy weapons upon the newcomers but those pulsebeams flickered off the Tazespheres' projected force fields. The shadomans retreated fast and there were no wounds caused let alone deaths.

Rainbosphere Wanderer was not fooled and advised the others that the ambush had been just a test of the intruders' will and strength. It was also, perhaps, a way of misleading the newcomers to what sort of threats they were facing.

The Wanderer's fascination with the locomotives caused increasing interest, by the other Tazespheres, in museum artefacts.

Uncle Leo observed the last ghoulmans departing from the lowest basement levels of the Museum of History, that was as massive as the Museum of Technology and other GrandMall GrandMuseums. With him was the very tough ghoulman named Charon. The Mysterious Stranger was off on some errand for the group. Orderhood people were there including a few ghoulmans who had joined it with the pleasant shock of being automatically treated as equals.

Carol, a ghoulman woman, came to them. She had recently gained transformation treatment giving her smoother almost human like, features that do not hurt in the sun, along with other positive changes. Other ghoulmans, there, have had the treatments. The name for transformed ghoulmans is emerging as rhoulmans just as radghouls are becoming rhouls.

Doctor Barrows, a ghoulman scientist, had been running a research placed called the 'Chopshop' though he also acted as a doctor with the help of Nurse Graves, also a ghoulman. Now they both have had the transformation treatments being rhoulmans and both had joined the Orderhood to carry on their work with that faction. The Mysterious Stranger had gone to the abandoned Chopshop to search for something hidden there that he had recently learned about.

The rhoulmans, and few remaining ghoulmans, were heading towards Ghoultown or other Underworld settlements. Some were going to join the new Underworld Defence Force as commanded by Marshal Krankzsmash. Businesses, like Carol's Place and the Underworld Outfitters, were going to the ever expanding Ghoultown.

63.2

Charon did not want to be changed into a rhoulman, at least not until after he had supposedly redeemed himself for crimes carried out when contract enslaved to Ahzrukhal.

Charon spoke to Uncle Leo. "Is there something important that you are not telling me?"

Uncle Leo sighed. "You have an impressive way of sensing hidden truths. I have nothing concrete to offer or even close to it. As an aspect, of the Wanderer, one has been seeking hidden threats, as seeded by the Great Enemy's puppets, apart from the superdoppelgangers that we already know about. Doctor Barrows had captured two glowing radghouls to study using equipment-supplies that he found already in the Museum of History. He was trying to come up with ways to slow down the ghoulification effect or even to reverse it."

Charon snorted. "He did some tests on me. I only went along with those painful tests because Doctor Barrows paid Ahzrukhal 100 prize-caps."

The supermutant nodded. "We suspect that Doctor Burrows was, before Doomsday, working here as part of a great, scattered, hidden research-development program of projects. When he went through ghoulification he both consciously forgot his past but also started seeking redemption for PreDD work on the deliberate ghoulification of human and animal victims. Now he knows something of his past but his memories remain damaged, which is greatly understandable given ghoulification effects on human brains. He did, at last, remember something important he had unofficially stashed away before Doomsday, an act that would have seen him killed if those he had been working for had discovered the act. Doctor Barrows was a hard man but found something that shook even him so hard he started the attempt to alert the public to what was really going on, or at least what he knew about."

The Mysterious Stranger approached at a fast walking pace and with a very grim expression on his face. He came to a sudden halt and handed a large files storage, plastic, canister to Uncle Leo. "We are facing another threat that might be called 'incomplete ghoulification' if one wanted a nicer name for it. We need to speed up, to spread out, the rhoulification process and even you, Charon, might need to undertake the changes if for no other reasons than being safe to those around you."

Charon nodded. "Under those circumstances, I will be rhoulified. I already have enough to redeem myself for."

Sarah Lyons fired off her upgraded battlerifle, hurling an elemental effected bullet. Each battlerifle could now shoot off non elemental effected bullets or elemental effected ones. The phase effect bullet struck the floating thing that was a floating clump of blackness from which sprouted grotesque tentacles for disturbing than those of the Shadomass. For these were constantly rotting, at unnaturally speed, but also regenerating in a fashion far from natural seeming.

The elemental struck caused the Great Enemy's lesser avatar to shudder, a large part of it disintegrating, and not returning, and to scream out in inhuman rage-agony. The Great Enemy was sending forth itself in the form of lesser avatars but there were also other things there, superdoppelgangers that had been copies of humans now distorted into monstrous, dangerous, parodies of them.

A security guard thing came rushing at the Lyons Pride and Knight Trooper Colvin blew its head apart with a phase effect bullet. It continued to fun for a short while before collapsing to the floor. Then it began to disintegrate away with amazing speed. Its rotting-regeneration process became just that of amazingly fast rotting away into nothingness.

There was very disturbing feeling that assaulted the humans just because they were in the area. The Great Enemy was there, or at least a direct expression of it instead of enslaved puppets. Clearly AlphaOmega did not want them in the Museum of Technology.

Museum robots were busy attacking the Great Enemy, the Warden God having infiltrated network-systems including security ones. With the robots came far more numerous, but more basic, remoterobots. Then there were basic duplicant androids in special body-armour suits. The support helped but with their special weapons, the Pridetroopers took on the brunt of the enemy attack.

A missile blew apart a great, three legged, massamadi that came in totally randomised forms in that it was impossible to predict what would appear next. More distorted superdoppelgangers came rushing at the Pridetroopers.

Vargas fired off a xolasergun that devastated the enemy as the beams struck them.

Before the attack ceased, for just a few seconds, there appeared before them a great face of twisted extreme emotions; hatred, exhaustion, lust, rage, terror, and more shifting quickly but still being definable. Then that bleakest of faces vanished and somehow they all knew that what had been there was AlphaOmega but was it truly the Great Enemy?

64.2

In a great display chamber, full of carefully encased pieces of historical clothing on basic remoterobot mannequin like mannlicants, the Pridetroopers found the metallic organic structure growing up out of the floor. Somehow it did not smash through it as came through as a weird form of 'osmosis'. It was melded into the floor as it hummed and vibrated.

It was identical, in appearance, to the one that the PaleOneMan had first found until joined by DocWho. That mechanism had looked solid but had crumbled easily, proving that it had been destroyed. The real Warden God had created it to help keep the Great Enemy trapped in the Coreworld.

Sarah (Wanderer) sensed that the mechanism was under stress as if it was being pushed against by the Great Enemy trying to escape.

For the first time one Wanderer Avatar spoke long distance to other aspects of the Wanderer.

Sarah: "Have we made a dangerous assumption or more than one?"

DocWho: "What dangerous assumption?"

Sarah: "That it is the Great Enemy that is trying to escape."

DocWho: "Who-what else would it be?"

Sarah: "Take it a step further; what if there is no escape attempt, at least not as we have come to believe?"

Uncle Leo: "The Great Enemy sowed many seeds to draw attention to this area, of this world, and to itself but why has it done so? It has manipulated others, muddied the waters as it finds easy to do, but ultimately why is this so? The Great Enemy is trapped...except that we do not know the true identity-nature of the Great Enemy."

Sarah: "The story goes that the Great Enemy was trapped in the NullVoid and that it caused the EverDoomWar to start. When the EverDoomWar ended there, the Great Enemy exported the EverDoomWar into what was... this which is a fake existence though real enough to exist comfortably in. It, itself, came into this existence and then was entrapped into the Coreworld. Yet, there are already subtle problems with this account of events."

Tannin: "What of the assumption that AlphaOmega is the Great Enemy?"

DocWho: "When did this fake existence, this star surrounded by 3,000+ worlds, really begin? Was it before the story began, before the Great Enemy was entrapped in the NullVoid?"

Jasmine: "Have we been blundering along blindly if not being manipulated?"

Rainbosphere: "What of our own true nature, that is the true nature of the Wanderer?"

Sarah reached out, with her psychic abilities, and took brief control of the mechanism. It quietly went semiactive and was suddenly no longer under stress. Logically she was not sure she had done the right thing, that the Wanderer had done so, but it felt right somehow.

Soon the Pridetroopers were moving on!

65.1

DocWho carefully deactivated one of what were now being called organomech monoliths. It was the second one that, as the Wanderer, he had done that to. The first was in a big display chamber of excellent replicas of OldEarth Viking longboats complete with mannicants of brutal Vikings.

This one was in a big public area with rows of vending-machines, a quarter of them selling varieties of NukaCorp products such NukaCola, NukaCakes, NukaJuice, NukaToys, and other high priced stuffstuffs. There was a kiosk that sold premade sandwiches, meat-rolls, pies, drinks including NukaCola, and lots of junkfood.

The place had neatly stacked dead bodies in status bodybags. Remoterobots, robots and turrets were active but under the control of the Warden God who had continued to be friendly but now puzzled. The Warden God was starting to question its true nature-identity and purpose.

DocWho studied holographic projections of amphibious power armoured soldiers. "The 'US Marine Corps needs you' but to fight whom? There were rebels, zetans, and perhaps other things that were fought but just what? Shadotaze? Offworld human invaders? Dopplerkind? Masses of rogue robots?"

PreDD history seemed to make less sense the more one investigated it though generally it remained consistent or was that only so if one accepted certain big assumptions?

Which was when the overly warm, computer generated, woman's voice spoke out of many public speakers. "Will Doctor Who please go to the Lost Property Kiosk where three items are being kept that have been identified as belonging to you."

The message was repeated twice more.

DocWho, who was very well used to strange things happening, did go but he was smart enough to take a few others with him.

65.2

DocWho found 13 items at the robot run Lost Property Kiosk, none of which he had actually lost because he had never had them in the first place.

One was a MrHandy type MissGuide carefully designed, built, and modified to guide anybody through most of the museum. It came with many handy extras and a very cheery friendly personality program.

Three were eyebot like guidebots that were more basic versions of the MissGuide. Thankfully they did not come with any very cheery friendly personality programs.

Nine were special designed, built, and modded pipboys known as guideboys which were very useful for navigating the museum.

There were other items classed as saleable because the owners had failed to retrieve the their belongings over during the legal 10 year limit that ended centuries ago. So DocWho bought up, using part of a great deal of credit already in the system, to buy up umbrellas, civilian pipboys, pippads, glasses, gloves, pens, 3Dcameras and other items that one would expect to find in such a kiosk.

A bit of a surprise were bottles of NukaCola Quantum, boxes of unused condoms, a powerful slingshot and two stimpaks.

Even more surprising was a MrGutsy combat robot with xolaserguns, 10 copies of the Jack Harkness book titled the Handsomest Man Ever, a box of 100 stimpaks, a very early 3Dmap tablet of the museum, a fairly small armoured cubebox with two keys, 100 creditchips each worth 1,000 credit, and 13 synthetic leather bound suitcase like containers. Ironically the 100,000 worth of creditchips cost just 10 credit to buy.

Then, on impulse, he bought cheaply 13 VaultTech Vaultboy type bobbleheads that were all individually different and which seemed to glow very softly. Then there were 13 surprise gift boxes being one golden, three silvery and nine coppery. Last of all he grabbed up an ornate Chinese puzzle-drawer box made of polished wood of some kind or so it appeared to be.

Perhaps it was on impulse but DocWho stored everything in his own pocket version of a QuasiTARDIS.
