Maharg67
72.1 Hardwall, the demigod in secret service to the Great Friend, sat in a full lotus position but he was communicating with a secondary reflection of the Great Friend. He sat in a largely bare room fixed up to be a meditation chamber with a quiet, contemplative, atmosphere. "We need assistance against the doppelfolk threat. You promised to give such assistance if it was needed." Great Friend: "It is important always to keep one's promises." Hardwall: "Then keep your promise and send help." Great Friend: "Honesty is the best policy!" Hardwall: "Are you listening to me?" Great Friend: "A positive attitude is the best one to have." Hardwall: "This is hopeless. I no longer serve you." Great Friend: "Then have a fine and meaningful life!" Hardwall snapped off the communications and sat there frowning. He had no idea of what had really been taking place but it was far from being natural or good. It was time to talk to others about what he really was. Yet even as he went to stand up, he burned away out of physical existence so quickly that he had no time to realise what was happening. His empty clothing, and other worn gear, fell to the floor. Maharg67
73.1 A mindwise conference, of Wanderer Aspects, took place. Uncle Leo: "Hardwall, the demigod, has perished but his soul is inside the sun. As he informed me shortly before his demise, he secretly served the growing insanity that is known as the Great Friend, the direct antithesis of the Great Enemy that the Great Balancing has failed to mediate since it vanished a very long time ago. That is not to be confused with the increasingly isolated, and indifferent, Great Neutral." DocWho: "It would be easy to assume that the Great Friend destroyed Hardwall on a mortal level." Uncle Leo: "True, far too easy! It is near impossible to know what is happening there in the Sunworld, the transdimensional realm at the center of the sun since the hard self isolation began after the vanishing of the Great Balancing." Krakratus: "Perhaps we need to focus on the growing doppelganger-superdoppelganger crisis. As both a Wanderer aspect and special doppelganger I can sense it increasing but more doppelganger type threats arising." Uncle Leo: "Both are linked somehow. We need to deal with both the mysteries of Hardwall's mortal murder and the threat of the doppelgangers. We need to track down the Rani!" Jasmine: "She was here, in TechVault101, doing some rather nasty biological experiments with radroaches. Where she went from there is unknown but she did so in her RaniTARDIS along with others. What she gained from those experiments is also unknown. TechVault101 has plenty of living, and expansion, room. We are open to carefully selected refugees who are secure, fitted for vault existence and who meet some other criteria; we are willing to take a few who need special assistance." Sarah Lyons: "Here, in the Museum of Technology, we now have a large group of shazemans on our side including children and other types of shaze-hybrids. We have continued to find typical type PreDD exhibitions and other kinds of displays including lots of commercialism and propaganda." MadMax: "Have found nothing more of interest except that all of the doppelfolk, that had been kind of battling the EagleEnclavers, have vanished just as the EagleEnclavers did. Why they did so is a mystery. This place has gone very quiet. Yet I get a sense of increasing danger." Mortum: "I suspect I have found something of great interest below the great crater centered settlement of Megaton. I will report when I have more, of greater usefulness, to report." Maharg67
74.1 The MiceCube showed the numerals '42' flashing off-on on small squares on each side as the mice slowed down again to their normal pace. Except now there were power-ramps, small robotic mice along with the other mice, and even some very small humans, one of which was a tiny man in a bathrobe who was holding a towel. The Timelords were puzzled by what they saw but sensed that there was something important about what was going to happen. 74.2 DocWho, and all of his people, had returned to the DocTARDIS where the Wonder5 had come out of their strange trance and the Wonderglobes were in rest-recharge bays adapted for their use. Saltis sat at a table with lots of tasty foods and drinks as did Rubin, Hattie and Tannin along with DocWho, Lasanna and Suzanne. Thomas was to one side with Juber, K9tron and Tinlegs. Saltis spooned some apricot jam onto her peanut butter covered piece of toast. "Then the Great Shadow returned to become, again, part of AlphaOmega and AlphaOmega is improved but not wholly. Now it needs the return of the Great Light to itself. The Great Friend has it captive just as the Great Enemy had the Great Shadow captive. The Great Friend has failed to fully absorb the Great Light, as the Great Enemy failed to properly absorb the Great Shadow. Soon the Great Light will return to AlphaOmega but likely AlphaOmega will be very angry at the way it has been betrayed by both the Great Friend, and the Great Enemy, when it was weakened for some reason not clear to one." When any aspect, of the Wonder5, spoke of the Wonder5 it said 'one' but otherwise 'I', Rubin finished eating a fresh apricot, carefully putting the seed into a small bowl meant for such. "The Great Balances vanished but none seem to know why. Then the Great Enemy and Great Friend began to fight each other while the Great Neutral began to withdraw into itself." Saltis looked startled for a second. "The Great Light has broken away from the Great Friend and has returned to AlphaOmega who is now much better but is angry... very angry. AlphaOmega has much power but is not evil." Thomas carefully groomed Juber, the big old packdog, who placidly enjoyed the attention. Saltis spoke after eating some of her toast. "The Great Enemy has been defeated by the actions of many, by the release of the Great Shadow and its return to AlphaOmega just as now the Great Friend is harmed by the return of the Great Light to AlphaOmega. The Great Enemy, the Great Neutral and the Great Friend are but one entity along with the Great Balancing. Together they are more than their parts, are positive-good, separate they are greatly weakened and even dangerous. What happened to the Great Balancing is somehow linked to something that took place on-in OldEarth that is now buried beneath the NewEarth. For now that is all that can be said of this except for the Zero Power Project, OldNewYork, the Eye Man Expedition and '42'."
Maharg67
75.1 Blastmiser, metamutant and Wanderer aspect, stepped carefully past a heap of desiccated corpses but these were not of victims of doppelgangers-superdoppelgangers, these were doppelgangers and superdoppelgangers. They were heaped up around the base of a glisten, metallic organic, thing that had a horrible bloated look to its crude globular shape. Tentacles hung limp from its side but Blastmiser had quickly worked out that they had stabbed into the shape mimicking victims. Blastmiser spoke. "Something drew the victims here, something that fed upon them as they had fed upon others. This mechanism kept some of what it gained but something tells me that most of it was passed on. Beneath this thing will be a tentacle plunging down from beneath its underside, going deep into the ground. Yes, I can 'see' it now, as the Wanderer, and the Wanderer has experienced types of such feederways before, of which this is but one type. The real reason for the doppelganger-superdoppelganger rising is that something, most likely the Great Enemy, needed to feed so as to gather its strength." Other metamutants, supermutants, and yet others did not seem so keen as to get as close to the heaps of the doppelfolk, or the feederway, as Blastmiser was. Many of the supermutants were now truly fertile male or female now and a few of those females were pregnant just as Blastmiser was. Blastmiser frowned. "Victims of victims of victims: the feederways do not attract the doppelfolk, the Great Enemy does that through the feederways; the Great Enemy enslaved the doppelfolk to force them to fight against their will, in battles that sees many of them slaughtered. I read this through the feederway. We must stop killing the doppelfolk and start capturing them, status storing them. We must capture these feederways and status store them." 75.2 Straruskon, a big powerful hulkamoth type supermutant, spoke out. "We kill them, we kill them all. We are strong, not weak. You metamutants are weak just as Krankzsmash has become weak. We should not have babies but turn captives into supermutants." Blastmiser, in her power armour, was calm. "You serve the Mutantlord who serves the Great Enemy." Straruskon shrugged his large arms. "I will kill you! I am strong, you are weak. I am important and you are not." Blastmiser pulled out an odd looking pistol and shot Straruskon but he simply froze in place with soft sparkling energies surrounding him. "An ultradoppelganger for sure and one that does not want to be one. He came forth, both supermutant and ultradoppelganger together, to be captured. I suspect that both have something important to say and that we need to hear it." What they learned from Straruskon would, somehow, be no surprise to the Wanderer but it did surprise many others. The Great Enemy, as related to the Great Friend, Great Neutral and Great Balancing, was not what it called the Ultimate Enemy. The Ultimate Enemy fed off life, had first captured-distorted doppelgangers from which superdoppelgangers-ultradoppelgangers were to be developed from, but the Great Enemy did not do so, had never done so. The Great Enemy, for all of its evil, was far less so than the extremely more powerful Ultimate Enemy and less evil. The Ultimate Enemy had drawn the Great Enemy into a trap as the NewEarth Coreworld but the Great Enemy continued to successfully resist being totally controlled. If freed, it would return to be with the Great Others inside the sun realm. The Great Balancing was trapped also in the Coreworld but the Great Enemy, though linked with the Great Balancing, did not know much about that situation. Somehow, mysterious, the Great Enemy had managed to send the message to the ultradoppelganger but only with the assistance of another that it did not know the identity of. Maharg67
76.1 The power armoured figure stood holding up two signs, one with a red arrow pointing to his left and one with a green arrow pointing to his left. The oddly calm, not so ferocious, attacking doppelgangers-superdoppelgangers sort of raced towards him and went where the green arrow pointed being the place where they would be easily captured and status encapsulated. The attackers flowed to the power armoured figure's left, not bothering to realise it was just an empty suit of damaged power armour. The other arrow pointed to a blank wall but the attackers did not take notice of that either. With the help of powerful, subtle, psychic assistance from the Wanderer, they were racing to be free of the influence of the Ultimate Enemy that not only treated them as expendable but planned for them a terrible kind of death. Nor did they really want to feed-kill humans, or others, anyway. Across the GrandMall, and in other places around the world, the same thing was happening. Unfortunately there were many places where the enslaved doppelfolk were being driven to fight, to die, to feed-kill, to then feed the Ultimate Enemy through the quasiliving feedways. Yet it was a blow against the Ultimate Enemy, a lessening of its much hungered for liquefied flesh, blood and life energies.
