Olivir2019
@spomac45: I have decided to just sort in Vortex and uninstalled the shortcut for Loot and even the Loot itself. I have to add, that I am playing Fallout 4, not Skyrim/SSE, so YMMV, but the main reason is that I am using dependencies in Mod section anyway, so I would like to have user rules for plugins also in Vortex. HadToRegister
Just curious, and most likely a very stupid question, but you gotta rule everything out.But are those two mods actually being put in the wrong order, or do you have your "Load Order" column set to reverse? I have my Load Order column on the Plugins pages so it reads 0, 1, 2, 3 now you can click on the up/down arrows on the load order column and reverse it so it reads 3, 2, 1, 0 Could that be the problem? That's Vortex IS ordering them right, but you have the Load Order display set to reverse? Because that would make it look like one mod is improperly loading before the other. Sadly, that's not it. I would have been happy were it user error. OK, thanks for the reply, Have to rule out every possible thing :)

Thanks J.O.D. ... ... I decided not to use LOOT because not matter what I do, the load order is way off in relation to Vortex. I did also setup rules in Vortex and that is the way I would like to keep them based on previous load orders that I ran back in NMM ( have a copy in my desktop from NMM ) and back then I've never run into any problem so that is why I am using rules. It is very confusing and Vortex still does not have a feature to print our load order so we can compare what it does if we add more mods mid game. It is kind of hard to remember when you have more than a 100 mods installed. Don't know why that feature was not included form the very beginning. Also, do you know if there is a one click feature to delete all rules and set them up again ? Thanks
HadToRegister
Also, do you know if there is a one click feature to delete all rules and set them up again ? I know in LOOT there's the "Clear all user metadata" option in the menu with the 3 vertical dots. For Vortex, no idea.

I know in LOOT there's the "Clear all user metadata" option in the menu with the 3 vertical dots. For Vortex, no idea. Thanks HadToRegister .... yes I know but no for Vortex. We are missing some important features in this new tool, the first one is not be able to print our load order which is extremely important to keep a visual tracking of all of our mods especially when we have to add more mid game. The second is that we should be able to reset all rules to zero and to re-enter those rules again if we need to or just to simply set the load order to NO RULE and let Vortex sort out the entire list .. which I do not like to do at all because there are some mods that must be placed in certain places within the load order by mod author's recommendation. The other thing is that for example, I have a rule setup for mod S to load after mod R; I decide to add another mod mid game that requires to be loaded after mod R as well. So at this point, if we drag/drop the new mod in between mod R and S, we need to delete the rule for mod S, enter the new mod after R and then re-enter the new rule for mod S to load after the new mod just added ... at this point, mod S is not longer mod S because another was included in between and if there is another mod, let' say T that was set to load after mod S, mod S is not longer what it was before but the new mod added recently. I do not know if I am making sense but back in NMM, when we added a new mod mid game and we knew that had to loaded after certain mod, we just dragged and drop it and the mod that was in that position before, was moved down the list to make "room" for the new mod. With Vortex, I do not see that is possible. I understand that for my example, we could also add the new mod after S, but if mod T ( previously there in the list ) was there, then is not anymore mod T but something else. Not having the way to print our load order is complicating visualization which is very important especially when we have dozens of mods installed. With Vortex is very difficult to remember where this mod was and where is or should be now. Hope I made myself clear. Thanks.

Ok, you have me confused, If your new mod 'T' needs to be after 'R' set up a rule. It 'S' needs to be after 'T' set up a rule for that as well. Then if you decide you do not want 'R' anymore all is good. If 'T' and 'S' do not effect each other no rule is needed as long as they both load after 'R'. I hope I am being clear, and helpful , the way I have come to think about it is about who 'wins' between pairs of mods. So in your example 'T' needs to be after 'R', 'S' needs to be after 'R' and possibly 'S' also needs to be after 'T'. Then if any of the mods are disabled sorting would work.
