Have you read ANY of the posts in the thread at all?

 

This is an ongoing SITE problem, people are STILL home from School and College (I know here they're out until the 7th of January) so the site is being overtaxed right now.

its caused by people spamming the wrong forums about getting time out errors. if you stop doing that, you can download mods.

Must say that Vortex is much more iffy than NMM. I can download mods with NMM reasonably normal, while Vortex keeps missing the spot several times in a row before it finally decides to download.

I set this in Vortex
According to Tannin42 this setting doesn't make a difference, but for me I can download a 1.9 gb mod in just a minute or so

i'd throttle it back from 10 to a lesser value given that the servers have been battered to death these last few days. it may help. you can always set it back if it doesn't.

First off, I have to ask, if this hasn't been working for you since 2019, why did you wait until it was almost 2021 to say something?

 

Vortex hasn't worked for you since 2019 for downloading stuff for you on 99% of the links you click?

Sounds like problem is on your end.
