Lorkarion
I've checked it. Every time I disable or uninstall a big mod it leaves back a lot of files in my data folder and a lot of empty archives named "__delete_if_empty"This isn't how disabling mods should work in my opinion. Is this a bug or is deliberated? Thanks for your time.
SkunkMonkey
After those operations are you using the Deploy Mods button? When that process runs, it should clean up all those unused folders and items. Of course, if it's files created outside of Vortex, it won't know about them nor do anything to them. All the files are added to the game by the Vortex mod manager, nothing manual. When I uninstall a mod (by the Vortex) and later check the Data folder I see a lot of empty directories plenty of files called "__delete_if_empty". The problem is that there are THOUSANDS of these files. I don't understand why not simply clear the folders and archives that has been created by the uninstalled mod. Same problem i had, uninstalling mod and clicking deploy mods left empty folders all through the games folder. You have to press "Purge Mods" which i found out removes ALL files and folders that was created by Vortex and when that is finished you have to press "Deploy mods" which then copies everything from the Vortex/Mods folders back into the Games data folder in the install order that you had specified with the overwrite.Hope this makes sense, when purging and redeploying mods it used to leave all the Plugins Disabled once the Deploy (copying) was finished and you had to enable them all again. However now when i do it, it automatically enables all the plugins again for me. Not sure if this was in the new update or not but yeah purging is when you uninstall a mod and i use it all the time. Great when you are trying to remove textures etc, I've also found it useful when i tried the A mod overwrites B mods textures and it actually didn't do this and i ended up with broken textures. cfdmedic
So i was dumb enough to think that I could import all mods and and plugins from NMM and there would be no problems. But there was many conflicts with what loads before/after/conflicts with "errors". So now that i want to just start all over and load mods the right way (one by one). I started by deleting the mod from the mod lists and that was gone. So there is nothing in the mods page now but the plugin will not go away on the plug ins page. I completely deleted Vortex and reinstalled but the plugins reappeared with no mods installed. I want to start from scratch and load all mods one by one so there are no/less conflicts that I need to figure out what loads before/after. GammaThreve
For those who can't find "Purge Mods," you have to turn on "Enable Advanced Mode" under "Settings." Hopefully that saves you half an hour of pure frustration.

It's the first thing I look at with any new program I use, just to see the things I can change and familiarize myself with them.It should be the first place EVERYBODY looks, instead of poking around blindly. If you uninstall a game BEFORE you uninstall the Mods, then you're on your own, a mod manager can't keep track of that
