SirGalahad
I've two industrial purifiers and a number of small hand pumps around Sanctuary, but they've stopped producing purified water to place in the workshop. Any ideas? Thanks! Edited May 11, 2018 by SirGalahad
audiodef
A mod conflict, maybe? Did you change your load order? If not, try replacing all your water sources with a single, large source such as the AROD water purifier mod, or just remove the hand pumps and see if too many water sources are breaking things. Settlements are sometimes a little wonky all by themselves and need to be kicked in the pants now and then.
JimmyRJump
Once you've reached a certain amount of food and/or water and the surplus isn't taken out of the Workshop, settlers will stop tending crops and no more water will be produced. Sell all the water or use the console command player.setav carryweight xxxxx to be able to carry all the water and the purifiers will start producing again. Or start using the Uncapped Settlement Surplus mod that takes away the limit of food and water production in all settlements. I use it and it works just fine with the other 600 or so mods I use. SirGalahad
If you are suggesting that there is an excess of water I've not touched at Sanctuary itself, that's not the case. I've kept up with their production, because I spend a bit of time there. There are two industrial purifiers in the river and some hand pumps I've not been able to find (I'm deleting them all, starting with the hand pumps, hoping things "restart" if I rebuild them). If you mean that there is a cache of water at another settlement I've not touched, and that causes everyone to stop producing, that is possible, because there are settlements I don't check up on. Still, settlements other than Sanctuary are producing water. It's just Sanctuary that's gone dry. Thanks!
Ondrea
Not sure if it's related to your issue but a long while back I ran into this problem of one settlement not producing water. I found a post mentioning that it can happen when there is dirty water in the workshop. I removed the dirty water, along with all purified water, checked back in a couple days, and the purified water was being produced again. No idea why that would cause that, but since then I've been in the habit of keeping dirty water out of my workshops.

Like I said in my previous post, settlements have a limit for food and water production. Once the limit is reached, pumps stop producing water and settlers can no longer be assigned to new crops. Hence my link to a mod that prevents that from happening. If you are suggesting that there is an excess of water I've not touched at Sanctuary itself, that's not the case. When you said Sanctuary "stopped producing water" I thought it was because the Workshop has too much of it already. A settlement stops producing food and water when a certain amount is reached. Look in the Workshop for purified water. If there is none and the settlement doesn't produce any, then something is indeed wrong. Could be as simple as not enough power to make industrial pumps work, or they have been damaged in an attack and need repairing.

That can happen when having a lot of supply lines. Since the Workshops all get connected, a lot of settlements will stop producing food and/or water. I don't know the intricacies of how these things are calculated, as Bethesda seems to have a mad mathematician locked-up somewhere to come up with these overly complicated formulas... speedynl
if there is a max for food/water, it is easy to check, pull all food/water from your settlements, check back next week, you will see soon enough if this is a glitch or reached a max(if exist) also keep in mind when buildin up a new settlement it take xx day's to produce wateralso the parent script only mention max per xx npc, but not a max totaal, but if have a very complexe formula for those things so maybe if you have xx npc's there is a max for it, lets say 2 water for 1 npc, and you have 10 npc's then 20 is max water for that settlementbut then again i don't know s#*! about scripting Edited May 19, 2018 by speedynl
