Indoril Nerevar
Immortality with my LORD. That would be the most blissful experience. that is why I am a Christian. a moment without the LORD would be like, for some, a day without fun. Why? You're given the option of immortality with god powers. How can an eternity second to someone else be as much fun as being god yourself? Especially when as god, you can simply define the happiness of your afterlife to be "2x happiness with the LORD"?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't you remember what happened to Almelexia and Sotha Sil after they had their "divinity" They were driven mad by almighty power. It takes responsibility and a pure holy mind to wield the power of a god.
Stanhead
Being immortal is not as fun as it sounds. You live on forever and ever. All of your relatives and friends will die while you live.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I agree. Even if your friends and relatives lived forever too, you would soon get bored of eternal life. I'll keep my life and move on to the next level when I die what ever that is.Science argues (very well, I might add) that this "next level" is ceasing to exist. But if you're religious I'll respect whatever your beliefs about the afterlife are. ;) Don't you remember what happened to Almelexia and Sotha SilWho? It takes responsibility and a pure holy mind to wield the power of a god.I think I could handle godlike powers... It'd be great! Haven't you ever seen Bruce Almighty. I'd be like that except I wouldn't screw things up by lowering the moon's orbit or, more importantly, losing my girlfriend. :P

An extended lifespan - perhaps... just to get a chance to read all the books I want to read, and learn everything I want to learn.
Peregrine
Don't you remember what happened to Almelexia and Sotha Sil after they had their "divinity" They were driven mad by almighty power. It takes responsibility and a pure holy mind to wield the power of a god. How convenient that being omnipotent means that all you need to do to get that responsibility and pure holy mind is say "I want it". Or if you feel like it, simply decide that those things are not needed to avoid madness.
Icefiddell
I agree with Peregrine, if you where given Godly powers the possibilities are endless. You dont have to have to be pure or holy even responsible :) And because you have the powers of a God anything is possible, as has been said before you'd never get bored because you just make bordem cease to exist along with anything else you want. Hell you could even create emotions 10x better than any mortals love or joy and happieness! To be honest i find it a little hard to comprehend thats because i think where all bound to human emtions and so on and just making them cease to exist and changing things we think are unchangable is a little hard to grasp. But if your a god then you can do it.

Peregrine
I was being entirely serious. If you accept the "immortality with god powers" offer, you can not be bored unless you want to be. An omnipotent being can simply say "boredom doesn't exist" or "I'm not bored" and then not be bored. Therefore the only logical option is to pick the god powers. Chaosmaker
I may not be pro-immortality but I am pro-Godly powers.
