Failed To Update Plugin List

About an hour ago WyeBash started saying it lacked permissions when making a BashPatch. I could only get through this by closing Vortex.

Now when I open Vortex I get These Errors:

Any thoughts on what could be done here? What file is corrupted or something?

I tried re-installing Vortex to no result.

Is this related to plugins.txt?

I see two files by that name on my system:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\plugins.txt

and:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\profiles\HJs-7j4GQ\plugins.txt

ANother file is replicated in both directories, loadorder.txt

- it was writteb by Vortex in both cases.

To the first directory earlier this after noon, and an hour later to the second directory. It looks like Vortex switched where it writes to.

The files in

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\profiles\HJs-7j4GQ\

- only contain a line saying automatically made by Vortex.

The plugins.txt in the other folder has all my plugins properly listed, but no comment from Vortex. Judging by the time stamp I think WyreBash or loot left it.

I don't think the two problems are related.

When WryeBash said it lacked permission to read the file and closing vortex fixed it, WryeBash was probably just giving out a confusing error message and what it tried to say was "the file is locked by another process".

Now Vortex isn't supposed to keep the plugins.txt locked, could be that due to a bug it kept a lock on the file when it was trying to update it.

This should all have been resolved by closing Vortex and restarting it.

The errors you're getting from Vortex now (Path must be a string. Received undefined) indicate that the internal state for one mod (it's probably just one) is broken and is missing an attribute. This has nothing to do with the plugins.txt file.

Please send in a feedback and from "Attach Special File" attach your application state. This should help me fix the bug and let me help you work around it for now.

Last night I did a complete reinstall of all of it:

Skyrim SE

Vortex

Wyre Bash

Loot

Creation Kit

and all my mods...

So I guess I'll never know which of this issues was the exact cause...
