SultraCow Posted July 2, 2018 Share Posted July 2, 2018 please disregard my angry title I was in a bad mood and lots of pain Here are my net specs I have two different Lines from two different ISPS The brighthouse one ( which is a backup ) which is 400 / 400 My primary line which is Verizon Fios 500 / 500 USA The results are mostly identical between the two Brighthouse and Fios are both Fiber with no cable repeaters leading to the source line in my area Pinging cds.n2x4r7s4.hwcdn.net [205.185.208.141] with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 205.185.208.141: bytes=32 time=64ms TTL=53Reply from 205.185.208.141: bytes=32 time=52ms TTL=53Reply from 205.185.208.141: bytes=32 time=49ms TTL=53Reply from 205.185.208.141: bytes=32 time=35ms TTL=53Ping statistics for 205.185.208.141: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 35ms, Maximum = 64ms, Average = 50ms In both cases Switching my VPN on produced 16 - 2000 + kb a second for all US destinations and typically end up with corrupted files upon completion, ( im in florida ) and when I select a EU destination ( in this case SWEDEN ) I get a sustained 20 + Megabytes per second rate throughout with no corruption upon completion It also did not seem to matter what server I was connected to. You haven't specified what your download speed is like without the VPN on all the different server options available to Premium Members, and we cannot control your connection quality through a VPN.
