My game is so messed up that I don't even know what to call this topic. Please help.

First of all, this situation is so stressful that I've been putting off playing Fallout 4 again for months. Please, be calm and patient with me, and I'll try my best to be as calm and patient with all of you as I can.

 

Oh, and if you need me to do something that requires a program besides LOOT or NMM, chances are I don't know how to do so, so please explain.

 

I'm mostly lost here, but this is the situation.

 

First of all, I've run LOOT. It list issues about the DLC which is the usual FO4Edit v3.2.1 found 45 ITM records, 38 deleted references and 1 deleted navmesh. A cleaning guide is available here.

 

I've asked about these before, and I was told to just ignore them.

 

The first error message I get is

some features may not work correctly.

 

| decide "ok, guess LooksManu hasn't been updated for the latest official version of the game, I'll just deal without LooksMenu." and I uninstalled it and ran loot. I try to start the game again and I get the same message.

 

Oh and I also get this message

 

Unexpected runtime version (expected v1.10.50) PRKF will be disabled

 

No idea what runtime is or PRKF are.

You need to update Looksmenu, it's been updated for the latest version of the game.

The Looksmenu you have installed is for an older version of the game.

Update Looksmenu.

 

Also, since you're getting that warning about Looksmenu, then you know how to install and use F4SE

You CAN ignore this message. In most cases, nothing bad will happen at all. There's a (rather small) risk though, that these errors in combination with mods can lead to issues, including CTDs. So, IMHO cleaning the master files at some point IS a good idea.

To be clear: This is NOT something you need to do immediately (especially if your game seems stable overall), but in the longer run I'd clean the master files.

Continue a game, but it's irrelevant because the game CTD 5 seconds after it loads up.

Ok, so the looks menu error is gone, but I still don't know what PRKF or runtime are. That's probably causing the issue. Any ideas anyone?

Ok, it turned out that prkf was levelupmenuex and I just had to update it. Able to play it now.

The DLC's you can easily clean, Dirty Weasel Media, on youtube, has a guide how to do this. Also, Gopher has a guide on this, as well. You will need FO4Edit, but you do want to clean mods that are dirty, according to Loot, unless the mod page says do not clean. Clean mods are happy mods.
