Another creation club update

Be sure to go to your Steam Skyrim update settings and set automatic updates to only update when you launch it (from Steam, always launch from SKSE shortcut to prevent game update)

Instructions to get back to previous update to continue being able to use current SKSE

Press Windows + R
Input: steam://nav/console
In the console: download_depot 489830 489833 1298692161422189837
Check https://steamdb.info/depot/489833/manifests/ for the latest manifest ID! This is the last number in that command, and has probably changed if you're viewing this months later.
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\content\app_489830\depot_489833
Cut or Copy the SkyrimSE.exe
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition
Paste the SkyrimSE.exe, overwriting when prompted.
Also to anyone else, Apparently all .ESMs have been downloaded again, so we need to clean them again with SSEEdit.
"Skyrim - Patch.bsa" & "Skyrim - Shaders.bsa" were downloaded again as well.

Bethesda really needs to find a way to make it so that the monthly Creation Club crap doesn't break SKSE64 or F4SE, sheesh no consideration for the SKSE team at all

Also, download cdante's "Auto Backup Skyrim SE exe as well, as the Fallout 4 auto backup EXE mod.
Then whenever Steam tries to update the game, the mod will automatically make a backup copy of your Skyrim SE EXE so you can use it until the mods are updated for the new version of SKSE64 and F4SE etc.

Thanks for the info, sigh i hope they come out with a patched version of skse soon.

usually 2-3 days, i keep FONV and FO3 installed for when this happens lol

Maybe install regular Skyrim? Which has never been touched by Creation Club, THANK GOD!

I was Mid Playthrough when this hit. Went to pick my kid up from school and come home and couldn't play so I came here to and saw this! Works like a charm you sir have saved my fragile mind from insanity. But seriously Thank you I hate not being able to finish a really good playthrough.
