OstrixTheOstrich
Well, in that case, I'm whitelisting Nexus right now on my adblock.
SmilinBlackJack
Bought life-time premium, not using adblock but still cap at 1mbps. Could you guys at Nexus please address this for paying members.
sskkooommaa
And for some reason you are capping my premium membership without explanation...? 500 kb/s is unacceptable.
los12345
In response to post #65494046. #66327906, #69327386 are all replies on the same post.54yeggan wrote: Thanks a bunch. But no offense intended, but the majority of reasons I run an adblocker is because of malicious ads that often pop-up and redirect you to sites where you don't want to go, and don't allow you to go back. For example: Those pesky 'Your PC has a virus call 1-800-555-5555 or your harddrive will be deleted in 10 seconds!' pop ups. I've seen them happen before on 'reputable' sites as well, and it sucks when it happens and you're just trying to do something important. Anyways, thanks Nexus Mods!NeoThomasCraft wrote: I've never got any of those from Nexus Jestty wrote: I've gotten those ads they always find their ways in through thats the issue with ads. ikr then they say "everyone hates ads, but without ads this site could not exist" bla bla bla, the only thing I use an adblock is that some website have malicious ads on them

The issue lies somewhere between their servers and your computer.
radmodbud
Would have been nice to know this instead of being bombarded with the idea of uncapped download speeds for premium which is untrue. Should change your wording for trying to get premium membership I felt a little cheated with false advertising

Should change your wording for trying to get premium membership I felt a little cheated with false advertisingPremium members are uncapped for downloads. That does not mean you will always get the speeds you expect. Many things can influence download speed, the primary thing of course being your internet speed. But I can tell you right now that the Nexus is not intentionally capping you.
leonstk
Few month ago I can get 900KB/s+ download speed , today I'm only have 56KB/s+- download speed (not premium member) Orz
cyeklone
This business model seems dated. Every public forum supports uncapped downloads. This is the only forum I've came across which have capped download speed. Why now allowing the modders to use whatever their own CDN of choice? Like github etc.
niacus
I became a supporter to help Nexus and remove ADs. It was alarming to be called a 'free member.' My speeds are ok, thanks for the upgrade.
