can't get the mod manager links to stop trying to send me to the now uninstalled NMM

whenever I try to do a direct mod manager download it tries to bring me to NMM but with it uninstalled it tells me to assign a new default but it never brings up vortex and I can't figure out how to do it manually, can some one help me with this?

Open Vortex, Click on SETTINGS, click DOWNLOAD, click "HANDLE MOD MANAGER DOWNLOADS button on nexus com"
