jtcarc
Hello, I'm trying to install Vortex and it automatically installs to my c:. My game is located in my d: where I would also like Vortex to be. How would I go about making it default to my D drive. Also even after manually moving it to my D drive, I couldn't deploy the mods I ported over from MO2, it kept asking for an empty file path. When I created a new folder it keeps getting stuck 3/4 of the way through the transfer. If anyone could offer any help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!! :)
AugustaCalidia
There are two downloadable versions of Vortex - a one-click installer version (installs automatically to the C: drive) and a custom location installer. Which one are you using? Here is the Vortex link: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files

Grestorn
Installing Vortex on another drive won't change anything. The mod installation path must be on the same drive as the game. Where Vortex is installed doesn't matter at all. And installing it on another drive won't save much space on C:\ either, the installation itself is not that big. And the actual database (a couple of MB) is also ALWAYS on C:\, no matter where you install Vortex to. So there's really no reason to go into that trouble to install it somewhere else. Let it be in the default spot and just make sure that you set a proper mod installation directory for the game you're modding.
