Elder Scrolls Online executable to start game from Vortex?

First, I have played the game starting it via Steam, so it runs fine.

I just added ESO to Vortex and added some mods.

I launched the game from the default launcher that Vortex added, but I got a login screen and when I tried to log in it said I need to start it from Steam. When I start it from Steam I'm automatically logged in and I get right to the character selection.

So I want to add a custom launch button to the ESO dashboard in Vortex, but I can't find the executable that Steam uses. I've tried several in the Steam ... Zenimax Online folder and they all brought me to the login screen and the "must launch from Steam" message.

Has anyone successfully set up a launcher button for ESO in Vortex?

Here's a wild, possibly wide-of-the mark, longshot guess. What would happen if you opened Steam, had it create a desktop shortcut, and then pointed Vortex to that shortcut? (Here my ignorance shows. I don't even know if you can use a shortcut as a target.)

Actually, I thought that was a good idea! So I tried it - actually, what I did was create the shortcut and then copied the shortcut's URL to Vortex's Target box for the Dashboard button. When I saw the target text was "steam://rungameid/306130", I was skeptical whether it would work, but I tried it anyway and guess what? I didn't work! :) Got an error about Vortex looking for an executable, which isn't suprising.

Thanks anyway!

Maybe someone will pop in here who's been successful...

Have you looked in this folder for that exe that runs ESO?

..\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\Launcher

And you've tried adding a tool to the dashboard in Vortex that points to either ESO.exe or the ESO64.exe?

I should have mentioned this in my original post: Actually, what I initially did was I searched for "*.exe" in the Zenimax folder. It found, "eso64.exe", "Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe", and a bunch of other executables that were obviously not what I was looking for (uninstallers, C++ redistributables, setups, etc).

I tried both the exo64 and Bethesda.net ones, but neither worked.

However...

This has really become a moot point for me, as the Nexus site has an abysmal selection of mods for ESO and all of the ones that I downloaded and installed were as old as three years ago. ESOUI.com is actually the best source of ESO mods/add-ons and the mod manager "Minion" is integrated with that like Vortex is integrated with Nexus. So I'm using Minion, now...

Yup, that's the site I used for ESO mods.

I only lasted 3 months in ESO though, I get bored quickly with MOO routines.
