Vortex stuck on sorting mods

Hey there,

So it seems I f*#@ed up just a tad bit. I absentmindedly replaced my Skyrim folder with a backup copy I made.

So a few hours after this I boot up Vortex and want to install another mod. Suddenly a HUGE list of external changes pops up (probably due to files being replaced).

This alone wouldn't have been that big an issue since Vortex usually works through stuff like this pretty quickly.
As it is, however, Vortex seems to get stuck at "Sorting mods" (see file attached; it's been like this for the past few hours)

Is this a common issue? Can it be fixed or am I pretty much screwed and need to start over?

If you removed the vortex.deployment.json from your data folder, you will have broken your install's ability to manage your mods.

You may want to try purging and deploying, but it may not purge files correctly as you have removed the file it uses to know which files are deployed.

Haven't really removed anything though :s

vortex.deployment.json is still there as well as another file called "vortex.deployment.json.4oi1G9.tmp"

EDIT: It seems that the "old" vortex.deployment.json file was reponsible for my predicament. I deleted that one and tried deploying. Vortex created another json and now it works like a charm again :D It did however unlink half of my mods...so there's that. I'm going to try redeploying

EDIT 2: Well, now it says it's deploying..but nothing actually does get deployed. Back to the drawing board.

Try a PURGE before DEPLOYMENT, that might fix things.

Purge just removes the links to the files and DEPLOY Reestablishes them

Yeah, I tried purging..didn't really notice any difference though. Deployng still didn't seem to work.

EDIT: So I tried it one more time. This time it deployed after purging...but more than half of the plugins are now missing.
