Suggestion: Individual download folders for each game

Well, as suggested on an earlier thread, I submitted my suggestion via the in-app feedback function, but, five days later, it hasn't appeared on the GitHub issues page, and so I have to wonder if it was actually received.

Therefore, I'm going to post it here, and see what the community thinks of the idea.

Background

After collecting game mods for nearly two decades, the only way I can manage my thousands of files is to have individual folders for each game.

The problem

As far as I can see, Vortex (running the current 0.16.15) only allows me to have one download folder to serve all managed games.

Given that we can have individual staging folders for each game, what's involved in allowing individual download folders?

SO instead of what's used now

EX:

D:\VortexDownloads\skyrimse

D:\VortexDownloads\fallout3

D:\VortexDownloads\falloutnewvegas

D:\VortexDownloads\fallout4

D:\VortexDownloads\witcher3

you're talking about

D:\skyrimse

D:\fallout3

D:\falloutnewvegas

D:\fallout4

D:\witcher3

?

That's exactly what I had in mind.

Specifying different download directory per game was removed in Vortex v0.16.0 as "improvement", meaning it's unlikely it will be re-introduced.

As the example HadToRegister showed, each game have individual sub-directory and wherefore in practice has separate download-directory. The only limitation is you can't put these on separate partitions, but a work-around for local storage is using reparce-points if you need to put downloads across multiple partitions.

The problem we had to solve is this: If you start a download for, say, a Dragon Age mod but have never set up vortex to manage it, pre-0.16 vortex would have to download to the default location in %APPDATA%, which a lot of users disliked.

By having one global download directory ensures that all files get downloaded to a location that you selected.

I don't quite understand the problem here, the games do have individual directories, the sample HadToRegister gave are the same, except that the first is one directory level deeper. The files aren't organized any cleaner in the second. On the contrary, it becomes impossible to tell the download directories apart from anything else you have on D:
