Vortex Is Not Detecting My Games

I'm not sure what happened but at some point Vortex stopped discovering my games.

Everything I have is in the normal locations (C-Drive) yet it isn't detecting anything.

When I open Vortex it it says I'm managing a game (Fallout 4) but in the "discovered" area there are no games.

Even though all my mods are there when I try to start my fallout 4 (Via F4SE) it doesn't load my mods in.

If anyone has any suggestions, questions, or ideas I'd love to here them.

Thanks in advance for your help everyone.

If you are managing Fallout 4 it will appear in the "Managed" tab, not "Discovered".

Could you give an example of a game and it's install path that Vortex is not detecting?

I didn't see a follow up on this thread, but I'll give an example. I just installed Vortex and it will not discover any game I have in my Steam folder with the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\. Is there something to be done?

well, for starters, i'd move your game folder out of program files, or you're in for a world of hurt.

but that's just me.

That probably wouldn't make a difference in this case.

Have you moved the game since you installed it? Vortex checks the registry, Steam manifest and manually scans for the game EXE so it should find it one of those ways.

You can try adding the search path as rmm200 suggests.

Re-reading your original post, if the Fallout 4 game appears in the top right of Vortex it is already detected and managed. Could you try the "Show hidden games" button show in H2R's post?

If you still have no luck, can you please enabled advanced mode and in the Extensions tab, check all the extensions starting with "Game:" are enabled.
