Vortex Is Not Detecting My Games

the reason i suggested moving it out of program files, is because once the games are found - by whatever method - there exists a real chance that the op is going to be plagued by permission issues because of the fact that everything is in program files.

of course, they're free to do that - but i was trying to avoid yet more issues where vortex will get blamed for something it can't control, and is down to how windows "protects" that directory.

I understand that, but I don't feel it would make all that much difference to the OP's problem. From what they've said the game (and Steam) are in the default locations, which should be the easiest to location from the Steam manifest etc.

I am also encountering this problem. The Managed tab says 'go to "Discovered" and activate a game there' but there is no Discovered tab or any indication any games have been seen.

I have several Steam games installed, mainly trying to mod Monster Hunter World, but it just never shows up; nothing changes when clicking Scan for Games in the lower right, when clicking "Scan: Quick" or "Scan: Full" in the upper left, or when changing views or clicking "Show Hidden Games".

I can even specify the normal Steam folder path as a Search Directory, right where the exe file is located.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled MHW, uninstalled & reinstalled Vortex, and really tried everything to no success.

The DISCOVERED tab has been removed, it's now just MANAGED and UNMANAGED

You can tell which Games Vortex has found because they are in Color in the UNMANAGED Tab, while the Unidsocvered games are in Black and White
