No good news from Alien Slof as she answered me today. She have looked after my mod but she do not have it but she used my frames and it was therefor I made them, for all to use as they see fit. She also told me that Qarl is not among us any longer. Damn... No wonder we have not seen the most brilliant modder ever around? I really did wonder where he went? Look at what he did make: he invented oblivion modding. He taught us how to do it when we all was frustrating after our Morrowind way of doing stuff did not work any longer. He figured it all out. Damn, I miss him really. So damn good teacher and pedagogic modder and he was fun and made us laugh and enjoy this. he made much more, that others had released but we uploaded most of our stuff to the other sites that are not available any longer. Most of his cool stuff is gone...

 

 

 

After Oblivion was released 2006, he hated the textures and remade them right away. It took him months to do it and we drawled over his textures. When we finally got them, a new world did opened. An amasing world... I still use them. No one have ever done it better than he did. NO ONE, ever!!!! I tested them all, until I finally asked myself - WTF are you doing Pekka? No one can beat Qarl

I can also add that inventing C 1969 was nesesary as assemble was so damn hard to understand. You had to know how the CPU works to be able to use it. We humans are not able or built the same way as a computer and we all have problems reading assemble. C is thunks of assemble codes put into groups so we can make code and understand what we are doing and what it is doing when we read it as the commands are real words. Print, goto, if, loop well you read those words and you get a picture of what they really do. Assemble is 3 letters per command and when you see them, you wonder: WTF is thsi bullsh't???? Well... :wink:

 

1969 - C and Unix where invented at Berkley university and the first network that became internet. Everything where inventd for a MMO. All they really wanted to do was to play a game and have fun and make it easier to develop that simple txt based RP game and play it together by connecting the University computers together :D 1975 they opened Arpanet, with TCP/IP that is now Internet.

 

C looks exact the same today as it did then, except with new fancy commands that makes it easier and faster to use.

Yes.

 

The name Emma do also ring a bell. I have seen that name in the mod Community a couple of times. She was not active at Canadian Ice's forum. So I had no contact with her.

I hope Emma is doing okay. I know she started creating mods way back in Morrowind, but her magnum opus will always be Vilja for both Oblivion and Skyrim. All subsequent Bethesda companions owe a debt of gratitude to Emma for showing us what a companion could be. So many stupid trolls have picked on Vilja's voice for sounding like a Nord. That's because she came from Solstheim, where Nords love to have a Schnapps or two and dance upon the tables.

Yes, I do recall the name Vilja as well. Back in 2004 the mod community was extremely big and I guess it stayed so even 2008. Now when i peek at Skyrim stuff, the Skyrim community seems still to be extremely huge. There seems to be no end of the TES worlds... I made a new game last weekend with Skyrim, a new fresh reinstall, aimed for a 1.5.97 setup as I do not want the problems with 1.6.xxx and it works very good so far. Both with old and new mods.

 

I did try to install requiem, as I wanted to test it. The Rectificator stop to work when the green bar is half way up, it crash immediate to desktop. I installed the latest JAVA and tried again, and I have Internet turned dow at my flat so I shut down Defender completely to be sure it is not an security issue, nothing helps. But I also read about it. I love RP and maybe Requiem is to much hardcore for me. Well I can live without it honestly. If I wanna test it later, it will require a new char, a fresh char from start. So far I have very fun in Skyrim, as it feel fresh with 1.5.97 and all stuff around it.

 

I Dled loads of Archery and crafting stuff today. :smile: Install Cats of Skyrim, adopted a cat and use the sweet small doggy, so I can shoot above my companions as Archery is my primary choice, always has been since 2004, except in Daggerfall, where it is easiest to play a mage. Yes, I still play Daggerfall as well. Unity and it is fun in its own way and damn good looking. It does not require much space on hard drive fully modded. I think I used approx 10Gb for it. All mods except 2 if I recall right, conflicts. I also use small pets in Oblivion, to be able to shoot above them. I do hit them with an arrow ones or twice a day, but that's it. Small pets and me goes well together. Bye bye Inigo and the Green song as I have no use of them really. I hate when Companions gets in the way, between me and my targets but I love to use companions. :D

 

So before I deleted my old Skyrim game, I backed it up, 50Gb on an USB drive in case I want to return to it one day, which i doubt honestly. Why should I? So i went in game last Friday, and took 2 screenies of my old char, to say good bye and also to show her off here + save all screenshots that I will peek at later as I have that drive here with me. Shes a mean girl and no modded head as I used vanilla head in that game setup. Now I used High Poly head and my new char is a very cute Wood Elf. I forgot to copy the screenshots I took last Saturday and Yesterday so I show them next week.

 

I did everything with this old girl, used every damn slider for weeks or months even until she ended up like this. It is not possible to improve her more. I had to give up and accept: This is Vanaondelia in Skyrim. I used my old Oblivion and Morrowind Vanaondelia's as references and this was the best I could make. Bye Bye, The queen is dead, Hurray for the new queen. :D EUREKA!!!! She wear the cloak and backpack from the Legacy mod and Gigadeux armor that I also released for Oblivion a week or 2 ago with permission and support from the Gigadeux author. This is a lvl 135 OP Bosmer. I will avoid Ordinator this new game really. Ordinator is very very OP. Lets see if I can live without it... :wink:

 

Old Char, now dead and buried

 

 

 

The new char is so cute and different from anything I made earlier and it was not to hard with some extra stuff and presents for High Poly Head. She is a cute hot Bosmer, looks much younger then my old char, brown/purple hair to fir that Purple GigaDeux armor and light brown eyes, with fitting hues and lips in proper colour. I like her a lot. A shame I do not see the face while playing. :D I did tweak some sliders, some sliders distorts the head completely, so I rest that slider and tested the next and so on. I show her next week. Cannot wait until Thursday when i go back to my own flat again, to continue her journey for 2 days. Oblivion have to do until then :D

Making good looking Bosmer's was almost impossible before. The old Hag Vanaondelia is dead. DEAD!!! She deserves a gravestone for her hard work in Windhelm. See prev picture.

 

The new Vanaondelia is born. She does look a bit younger if I may say so. No wonder, she is only a week old. I had to restart a new char yesterday with all new mods and Hunter settings, Frostfall, Complete Cooking and Crafting Overhauls. Same Girl, same preset.

I also think every female NPC looks a bit better now with new heads. I do recall the girl from Companions, was a bit ugly. She is not ugly... The girls in Rivenwood are a bit more cute now as well really.

 

A shame though that my Sack of Wheat's are broken. No matter how many I have in my inventory, the cooking tools cannot see them. I need to visit the Skyrim forum later and find out if I am along with this issue or if more has it. Sack of Wheat is very vital for baking. I must be able to eat and drink now in Skyrim with Frostfall. My SkyUI MCM settings is broken as will. If I choose it in Mod Configurations, it is blank. All other MCM utils works, not that vital one.... :/

 

I do have thousands of cooking recipes now. Generated with Hunterborn I guess or Campfire? I do not remember or Frostfall. So damn fun to camp. I own my own town, Blackthorn, but I have a tent and bedrolls on the backside of my Manor. I have been built on that manor for many many hours, I guess 6 hours today in game. I am in a no hurry with anything. I take a day in a time, have only completed 2 small quests in 2 days. I soft, in Blackthorn, hunting wolf and preys. :D

I was strolling in my library today and I did noticed it ran so smothly. Recording videos has not been working lately but I have tweaked windows with this video

 

 

So I thought, I better try it instaed of just walking around there doing nothing special, so I did hit Win-G and prayed to Mara and it worked. The sound is bad but that is nothing I can do anything about.
