davidiusix
I have no toolbar above the plugins, cannot drag plugins to adjust load order. I am doing a fresh install of everything. i.e. Vortex, morrowind. I have had a tough time with installing and then uninstalling to try and get this working. The files paths for the downloads and mods folders was particularly difficult. What have I done wrong?

davidiusix
I have modded my games for a long time. Have been away from it for a couple of years. Just learning about the new mod manager utility Vortex. So, I watched all of Gophers videos on the subject along with a few others. I then proceed to uninstall Everything to do with modding on my system. This includes Mod organizer, Nexus mod manager, Wyre bash, Loot, FNIS and others. I even uninstalled Morrowind, fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim. Including all save game files just to be sure i would have a clean start to it all. I felt with moving to a new mod organizing utility like Vortex it would be for the best. First, i installed Morrowind into this folder: H:\MorrowindSecond, I installed Vortex into this folder: H:\VortexThird, I set the path for the mods into this folder: H:\VortexGames\Vortex\morrowindForth, I set the path for the downloads into this folder: H:\VortexGames\Vortex\downloads\morrowindIf you like I can attach screenshots of these locations. In Gophers tutorials he has functionality with a built in Loot for sorting. He shows you that you can drag the plugins to manually to change the load order. There is a hierarchy you can use as well. As you can see from my first post, I have none of that. Thanks for any help.
Pickysaurus
cannot drag plugins to adjust load order? in vortex? mate, that's not even a thing.are you trying to use vortex for the first time? if so, what was your mod manager before vortex?also where have you installed vortex, where is your mod download folder located? This is actually not true, the game shown is Morrowind which does have manual load ordering. (Because it's fundamentally different to newer TES/FO games.) Are you dragging the plugins from the right side (disabled) into the load order? Once they're in the left column they should be able to be reordered. davidiusix
I was not trying that. I will try tomorrow. Thank you so much for the explanation! So, am I to understand that Votex will not use LOOT to automatically sort the load order for the game Morrowind. If so, how can I sort my load order automatically? I am not sure I will be able to know the correct load order without help from a tool of some sort. I am sure you understand, once you have a lot of mods it can get out of order.
