Missing Masters

Hello,

So I recently purchased Skyrim SE for my pc so that I can finally go back and play through the nostalgia with some mods. Started the game to get the ini, but basically have gone from 0 to over 100 mods without actually doing anything in game. I want to get myself all set up first so that I dont have to worry about any of this crap later.

I have finally gotten most of the mods I want all installed, but I now have a problem. I have 2 plugins which are missing their masters and am not sure how to fix this. Through some investigation I have deduced that the RND uskp-patch.esp is a plugin that comes from the Realistic Needs and Diseases Mod, but the problem is that one of the masters it apparently depends on is for Skyrim none SE. Very confused as the files I downloaded did not even contain this patch, and it says that the main file should automatically patch for this. But nonetheless. it just popped up in my vortex once I had download the others I needed.

The other nonfunctioning plugin is bs heartland - arnima patch.esp which I think comes from one of the Beyond Skyrim: Bruma mods, but since I also dont have arnima, nor did I try to download a patch for it, I have no idea where this plugin even came from and have no use for it.

So How am I supposed to know which plugin comes from which mod? it seems like that should be the type of info that I don't have to post on the forums to find out.

And how do I either remove these weird plugins I dont need or see their prerequisites fulfilled so I can just get on to the game?

Also, double clicking on the mod shows the version, the Nexus ID, and a bunch of other misc info, but nothing about its masters.

Yea, my bad, the PLUGINS tab shows the masters.

If you've Installed, Enabled and Deployed and no plugins are showing up, then you've got problems.

And, also, if the plugins weren't showing up, then why install 100 mods?

I'd figure out what was causing the plugins not to show up before installing 100 mods.

Do you have another mod manager open at the same time as Vortex?

Where is your Mod Staging Folder?

I just got back into modding after some time away and needed to update NMM to Vortex. Still unfamiliar with the new program, by the time I realized my plugins weren't showing, I already had most of the mods installed already.

Initially I had NMM open at the same time when I was switching programs but since then I have just used Vortex.

Also, Vortex is telling me that the Mod Staging Folder is in C:/Users/Username/Appdata/Roaming/Vortex/skyrimse/mods

So how would I go about finding the cause of my plugins not showing up?

Oooooh, I think I see. The Mod Staging Folder should be in the "same partition as the game." However, what exactly does that mean? should the new folder I make go in the same directory as my Steam folder, or should it literally go inside the Skyrim Special Edition folder within steamapps/common/?

If your game is installed on the C:\ drive (by default). Vortex's staging folder must also be somewhere on C:\ but not inside the game's directory.

I recommend something like C:\Games\Vortex as the base path, although Vortex's default ({USERDATA}\{GAME}\mods) works fine too.

So does the Staging folder need to literally be next to my steam folder (Under the same directory)? or does it only matter that they are both on the C: drive?

My Steam folder is located in C:/Program Files x86/Steam

So I guess I am asking: Should it go within Program Files x86 or just somewhere on the C: drive?
