facetroll784
this happened to me a couple of days ago , with my f4se, I thought I had to update my f4se and downloaded the most recent version (0.6.17) and tried to update the manager by copying and pasting the necessary files and it still gave me the error that my version of f4se is not up to date, so then I deleted the older version .dll files to see if that would help and it didn't solve the problem. I am stuck on what to do or what is causing the problem. edit: I have no Idea if the game updated or not when I got the error message it said that my version of f4se would not work properly as it was expecting runtime 1.10.138 and my version of f4se was on runtime 1.10.
HeyYou
Did the game update again?
rmm200
Just an observation. This is not a Vortex problem. You install F4SE manually. You have to also make sure the scripts are installed correctly. Follow the instructions that come with F4SE. If you want anyone here to look at it, you need to provide the version of the game you are running. You say F4SE is version 0.6.17.Fallout 4 just updated; every mod that depends on F4SE also has to be updated. No idea if they are ready yet. This is also not a Vortex problem. rmm200
Did the game update again?I installed my f4se in my fallout 4 folder to update the game I honestly have no idea how to know if my f4se script is installed correctly These are the instructions that come with F4SE:1. Copy f4se_1_10_138.dll, f4se_loader.exe, and f4se_steam_loader.dll to your Fallout installation folder. This is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\, but if you have installed to a custom Steam library then you will need to find this folder yourself. Copy the Data folder over as well. Like it says - copy the data folder to your game data folder.A shortcut I use is just let Vortex install frse_0_06_17.7z as a mod. That gives you some visual documentation what version you are running, as well as installs the scripts. You still have to do the dll part manually. Your big problem will be to find what f4se mods you have to update. Look in Data/f4se/plugins. Every mod that has a dll there probably needs an update. I'll wait and see which mods need to be updated I looked at the f4se instructions to install the mod, don't really think that is a problem I'll see if it's the mods that need to be updated
