BladeRunin
I'm sorry I thought I read some where that NMM was not going to be supported any more & I am still using it as well. It works fine as I said but I was MAINLY wondering why NMM was not given these improvements that Vortex has. Thankfully FlamingCheeseMonkey did an awesome job in explaining this to me and thanks to everybody else as well for the help. Its much appreciated and again I'm very sorry for sounding like a smart arse. Cheers

HadToRegister
I'm sorry I thought I read some where that NMM was not going to be supported any more & I am still using it as well. It works fine as I said but I was MAINLY wondering why NMM was not given these improvements that Vortex has. Thankfully FlamingCheeseMonkey did an awesome job in explaining this to me and thanks to everybody else as well for the help. Its much appreciated and again I'm very sorry for sounding like a smart arse. Cheers Vortex hasn't been supported by the Nexus for TWO YEARS now, and when you come in here and make outrageous accusations and claims (like every single other person that claims that Vortex is being FORCED on them, and that NMM is no longer available) that are completely WRONG, you should expect people to react accordingly, and you should not insult them for having to read yet another completely wrong, and misinformed "Why are you FORCING us to use Vortex when M&M was the best Mod Manager" thread for the nTH time, that (as usual) isn't based on any facts whatsoever, and is just driven by uniformed rants and opinions. It's especially annoying because people who come in here ranting about NMM "not being available anymore" haven't even expended the energy to scroll down to the bottom of the Vortex download page, to see that there are still download links for the most up to date version of NMM there as well. Seriously, if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, and you've left all your mouse settings as DEFAULT, then your mouse will scroll 6 lines per turn.It would've taken you TWO AND A HALF mouse wheel turns to scroll to the bottom of the Vortex download page and find the NMM download links. THAT is why it's so frustrating dealing with the "BRING NMM BACK" people, because they don't even bother spending the energy to find out of NMM is truly gone or not. You demand everybody be civil to you, but your OP was completely hostile
Tannin42
I know this post has pretty much run its cause, I just wanted to reply to on thing: Is it really so "presumptuous" as you put it, to not have some skepticism when it appears that a large amount of posts are negative? Apparently you are happy with NMM, have you even made a positive post about it before this? The reality is that almost all feedback everywhere is negative because a majority of users don't bother posting when they're satisfied. When I worked on MO 90% of feedback I got was negative, if there was positive feedback was in the form of "it's better than NMM".Now I work on Vortex and in their feedback on Vortex people talk about MO as if it was the holy grail. So even when people give positive feedback it's usually actually negative feedback about the "competition". My point is:a) Don't judge a product by the feedback on the forum, it isn't representative of the user base.b) Be more positive. If you like NMM, tell it to the NMM devs, not to us.Well, you can tell us what you like about NMM in the form of constructive enhancement requests but constructive is the keyword here.
