Tannin42
Are you saying that if you right-click on one of the files and click "Properties" you don't have a "Security" Tab?
deathishere420
sorry for the big pics but it is so you can see every thing to show what is going on Edited July 25, 2019 by deathishere420
Tannin42
So you have those files on OneDrive (Microsoft cloud provider) and the status icons indicate that a synchronisation is in progress, I would assume that's the reason. The fact you're seeing this issue still I'm guessing OneDrive is messing up or maybe it's not even running.
hanoi07
http://prntscr.com/pmoaehYes, I have all permissions on skyrim documents and steam folder, of course I created 2000 files manually until I decided to look for the solution.

TAKE OWNERSHIP of those Folder sand STOP necroing and hijacking threads, start your own. Also, if you MANUALLY installed those 2000 files, then how do you expect Vortex to know anything about them? People keep moving, deleting, creating, copying files OUTSIDE of Vortex, and then are expecting Vortex to somehow know about those changes. https://www.thewindowsclub.com/take-ownership-windows-

I recently had to switch users myself and id really not like to click through them all If you're talking about taking ownership, then just click on the top most folder and pick the option that takes ownership of all the sub folders and files in the top folder. You don't need to take ownership of each folder one by one
CosmicRains
I found a solution that worked for me: open windows firewallclick on allow an app click manage as admin addgo to whatever folder that was denied access opennow click ok and its done.If that alone doesn't work also add the vortex.exe Edited October 11, 2021 by CosmicRains
