tesnexus8
@tesnexus8What you are looking for is here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/categories/13/ Thanks - I've uploaded the theme for people who just "want something that works" and don't want to wrangle the CSS themselves. :)

I didn't even know people were uploading Vortex themes.
Omegacron
I'd love to see two new features added, both related to FOMOD-type installer scripts. A way to tell a Vortex installer script what files to check for & delete before installation, thereby allowing mod authors to ensure a clean install when updating mods. A way to build a nice Vortex installer script (with choices, options, conditions, etc.) from within Vortex - something like a "Vortex Installer Wizard" add-on
Carreg0
There are two questions I would like Vortex to be able to answer:1) What is in the profile? (without switching to the profile in question)2) What are the differences between profile X and profile Y? Perhaps a quick and dirty way to handle this is to export the list of active mods and plugins in a profile to a .CSV file. Then the user could inspect the .CSV file or use Winmerge to find the differences.
alanbard
Some people got farther than I did. One, you don't need to scan for games, I'm a big boy of 73 years about 40 of them in computers. I can tell you where they are. And no, there are no games on the default windows A and B floppy drive.---I currently have ten drives on line with 20 tb .. do I really need to wait while you scan them all?--Also as far as I can tell, I can download, but I can't set a time from for updates, like 2am to 8am during my free time. ---Can't see where I can set up a separate download location for each game. ---And don't make me a flipping video.. RTFM... give me a nice clear set of documentation. I want to use my bandwidth on games and updates.---Oh, I could find NMM in the start menu under Nexus Mod manager, now if I want to start Vortex I need to remember that it's in a folder named Black Tree Gaming.. that's so logical.---As for updating to prime... I just downloaded a 170mb zip, at the capped speed that should be about 3 minutes... right capped at 1mb per sec. but alas it took ten minutes. My connection is never going to bust that cap. Need a better pitch to upgrade me. And I used to upgrade at times just to support you and may still again (if vortex upgrades from a small hot wind to a tornado). ---I noticed a lot of comments above about the interface.Interface should not be designed by the people doing the programming but by people attempting to use it. When you work on something 40 hours a week, things are transparent to you, that are opaque to people without that daily usage background. ---In the meantime, I guess I will go back to manually installing the stuff. Everything is covered in the "User Interface Overview" in the built in Knowledge Base, in the left hand column, click on KNOWLEDGE BASE. Can't see where I can set up a separate download location for each game. This is a "Per Game" setting Oh, I could find NMM in the start menu under Nexus Mod manager, now if I want to start Vortex I need to remember that it's in a folder named Black Tree Gaming.. that's so logical. When I install Vortex, it puts a shortcut on my desktop, I always pin it to the TaskBar. One, you don't need to scan for games, I'm a big boy of 73 years about 40 of them in computers. You can click the Circle/Line Icons to remove Drives from being Searched.Below that, you can manually add your own directories to scan, you can also manually set the location of the game. jamieyello
Hey all, developer of the working yet almost enirely unused "Cemu Mod Manager" here, I'd like to suggest adding support for Spyro Reignited. Otherwise I'll re-purpose my mod manager, but I think people would be much more comfortable using Vortex/NMM.Doesn't matter to me what manager is used as long as I don't have to manually move files around anymore, and there are already a couple neat Reignited mods on Nexus. Hi, people are also welcome to write extensions for Vortex to add mod management to more games. There's a few in use that have been written by others. If you can code you should look into what it requires to write one :)

dmytrotee
Is changing mods install location realizable? My system disk doesn't feel comfortable when Vortex installs 4k textures in it  . Will it make "hardlink deployment" impossible?
